Lockdown-2: Back to Square 1

_{Hey!! I’m back!! I hope no one thought I would not be posting anymore. Well, I might not post as much as before, but I might. Who knows?? Anyway, here, we’re back to square 1. Covid starts again. People are getting more infected than Nepal ever imagined. Yes, the vaccine did come out, but never for children. Honestly, we’re at a point where a curfew might start. I just miss the good old days when covid wasn’t even a thing. Also, my old gmail is overflooded with mails from pinterest. Honestly, that would not have bothered me much if my email space had something left. I have a new account now. Sooooo, where do I start now??}

_{Well, lockdown was over, corona was gone for us. Or so we thought. Schools reopened, everything was new normal. But then, suddenly, covid came back. Honestly, I can’t even think of that. Anyways, it came back and now, we needed to do the good old stay home quarantine. Schools were actually disagreeing with this because they thought all had the best safety protocol. Which, now to lie, they did and didn’t at the same time. The problem is you don’t just not get Covid-19 by just putting some mix of aloe-vera gel and things like that and essence to make yourself safe from Covid-19. You really need to maintain distance and also try not to bring the whole class in two groups. Honestly, I didn’t know what to do if the lockdown started again. That’s because I am not that creative as other people who would maybe make crafts and stuff like that. Anyways, back to the point. I did have some things to do that I found out I could not indoors. Now, all I do is start to watch tv mobile, then meditate with an app my mom introduced me to. I do have interest in yoga but because of the things that school taught us, yoga was pretty boring to me. Now that I think back, yoga is fun!! I started to like yoga.}

_{I also have found one interesting movie named turbo. It was so cute to be honest with you guys. It’s about a snail trying to get a tomato. Ok maybe not that but I just wanna tell you that its worth your time if you have your inner child like me!! And I actually still look at this website everyday, seeing the posts for anything. Honestly!! It was silent for a bit too long here so I really wanted to do something new and old at the same time. This is fun!! Always fun!! I hope more of my friends here start posting even if it isn’t their lockdown. Everyone always has a story to tell!!}

I do not need to play any rain sounds today, because nature itself is giving me the soft rain sounds. Phew!! I hope the cats and dogs don’t appear!! You know me, I just come up with jokes and other things or news. Well, none the less, it is the same today. But I have a few things to say!!

Check out my animation

Our Half-Yearly is coming up, and this is going to be my exam with this laptop. Last time I had to face a lot of problems and sometimes even had to borrow my mom’s laptop for some time. Well, I have a firm belief with 0.001% doubt that these times there will be no problems. (The 0.001% refers to power cuts or sudden internet outage.) Though this might sound stupid, today after I talk about my exams, I will be talking about some of the words in the past. You are going to have either shocking faces or Goosebumps later. So, as I was saying that I am sure it won’t happen again, but who knows. Only God has answers to the future as far as I know.

OK!! Now to talk about the words I mentioned earlier. Did you know? 

1. Before, the word Nice meant Foolish in the past.
2. Also, A girl used to mean a child of any gender
3. Nervous meant Strong. (Gosh, these words!!)
4. This might surprise you, but silly meant innocent at the time. (Told you you will be shocked)

Ok!! I hope you learned something new today. I’m pretty sure you guys did (unless you watch the videos of “The English Nut”) On with the flow. 

I am quite enjoyed these days. Though, I have still not got out of the grip of the fear of Coronavirus. I still do not have the authority to go outside. OH GOD!! I do not want to stop writing but have no ideas. Oh wait!! Do you want to know how my animation is going on? I have completed a bit of my first animation. And, I have completed one in Pencil 2D. Here is the video of it!!

 So, that is how the animation went. Hope you liked it. I know that it is not so good. I am trying to make my drawings better. So, saying this, I think I must leave. I am missing out an important thing!! Sayonara!!

I am more into animation lately.

Relaxing with music and without music. What’s the difference. For instance, imagine that there is rain. Feel the sound of the rain and close your eyes!! How do you feel? It was at least better than the sounds of others speaking of your home or the silence that had made you crazy!! Well, they do say it right. Music can heal all wounds. And so can nature!! While writing this diary, I do the same thing so that I do not get distracted. And mt eyes are fully focused on the screen. This is what I call the joy of life!! My outer environment seems like it is about to rain in my area. That brings the realism. 

One more update!! I am more into animation these days. I really am bad at drawing. And I still am. But, that does not really matter much to me. Because I will eventually get better at it. That does not mean I do not have difficulties in doing so. First of all, the animation apps can not be found in mobiles or any such devices, so that means we can only animate on a laptop. And you know how hard it could be for a child like me. I also do not have those pen and tablet thingies, so I cannot draw properly. I do not think I will get one at this age. But when I can, I surely will.

And one thing!! Please check out our stories as they have been posted on this website. Do not forget to check it out. Phew!! Finally, I have that sense of relief!! And yes, I hope you are all fine. Today, I am going to speak about ICT

The ICT conference is finally over, and I feel that we did really good. And that was proved as well. I will tell you how later. OK, let me be honest, today’s diary would probably focus on the full ICT conference. And I also have a comparison report on the program of Grade 5, 6, and 7. Alright, let me start. And do not think I have forgotten what I said. 2 questions. Plus, Googling is allowed. I mean, the main point is to know something new. 

Our Programme went like a firecracker. Really smooth. There were some internet problems, but, things were handled as we had recovery plans in grade 6. But, as far as I noticed, none of the other grades had one recovery plan. Would be better if they did have one. OK!!! So, before the Panel Discussion Formally, there was attendance, which is, as always boring!! Finally, we started. There were 3 motions raised and a lot of time wasted in Point of information. Well, the programme was over. And then, it was rest time. Well, I was asking all people if we can join the program of Grade 5. Well, I got “IDK” as an answer from all people. And so, I as well did not care and went there. Well, it was not that much fun, because I am a person who loves Panel Discussion. But, sadly Grade 5 had no Panel Discussion. And so, I went to fast-typing which was the only section where there were no internet interruptions and also, confidence. That is the two major and the things that made that game interesting and interactive. We went to one stall called “Robots and it’s future” which would have been more interactive if the people of that group had given chances for parents to speak as well. And after that, the program of grade 5 ended. 

Well, after that, the program of Grade 7 occurred. It was much more fun because the Panel Discussion was separated into 4 groups. We were in group no. 3. Well, the session had ended in the same way. But, in that session, I found that there were no active participants except than one. And now, on to my comparison report of all the 3 programs. Here is the report:

Games	Very interactive. Yet, the interaction was below expectations	I could not go there due to restrictions	No games organized.

OK, The Table occupied a lot of space here because the paragraphs could have been written without a table. But, whatsoever!! The questions this time are:

I have participated in monthly story-telling group. I had to write a fairy tale story about Ananya. Here is a story

Ananya was watching Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone as usual. As she was watching, Poco, her dog, started barking differently. Ananya went towards Poco and groaned “What is it Poco?”. Poco sprinted as Ananya followed him. As they reached the forest near their home, and a dense one, there was some kind of strange music. Ananya loved it.

All of a sudden the music stopped and there was a different silence, somewhat creepy. But what was about to happen, was much scarier and unbelievable. Ananya was flawless at making strategies, even impromptu. So, she gathered her courage and walked towards a light a little ahead. Ananya was panicking as she had never been this far from home. With the hope that everything will be OK, Ananya kept running with Poco, without looking back. Finally, they reached the light and found out to their surprise that they had entered a completely different place.

A valley was in front of the eyes of Ananya and Poco. Then, unknown to Ananya, a voice said, “Ahhh!! I love home!!”. Ananya was astonished. There was no one near them. Only Poco was there. “I am surely hallucinating, a dog can’t talk!!” Ananya spoke to herself in the heart. Then, Poco looked at Ananya and said “No!! You are not hallucinating!! You are in WonderLand.” Ananya was speechless. She thought that she was the weirdest, but this was something even out of her weirdness. “WOW!! What kinda people stay here?” Ananya asked curiously. “Name it!!” Poco said. 

“Nettie Thump from the book Trolled” spoke Ananya, looking doubtful. Poco started running towards the low-height mountain ahead. They walked for a minute, and they were there. Ananya was wonderstruck. The hill seemed to be quite far and how could they reach in a minute? Even in her Binge Watching of movies of Harry Potter or in Magic books reading, this kind of magic was unique to her. Poco said in a tiring voice “Ha!! That was a long walk”. “What do you mean!!?? We just walked for a minute!!” Poco looked and said “Listen, kiddo, you are in a world of magic. There will be magic in the timing. Well, your one minute is one hour for us!! Do you get it now?” Ananya nodded. She was perplexed. First, she is with a talking dog. Second, she is going to meet a fictional character.

Poco went towards a dead end and chanted a spell. “Oh the mountain of the ferocious trolls, the ancient Groundhog is here. I bring a guest who shares the blood of catronophs, so no need to fear!!” Ananya giggled. “It’s just a spell to open this door.” Poco cried out. There was a rumble, a huge one. Poco was not frightened, and neither was Ananya. Being used to this, all Ananya did was she just tried to balance herself. The rumbles stopped. Then, the rock that was in the wall faded away. “Holy Moly wack-a-moly!! It’s Troll mountain.” Ananya burst out with joy. Poco was cross. “We’re not stopping here. Let’s go.”

As they walked, there was a massive rumble. It occurred once in 3 seconds. Ananya fell and asked, “What is it with all this rumbling?” A gigantic Troll showed up in front of them. It was the mother of Nettie Thump. Ananya kneeled “Your Highness!!” The gazing monster shouted out “Who is this creature Groundhog?” Ananya stood up and said “Myself Ananya and I come from the human world. I have read about your Daughter.” Poco interrupted and started speaking “She is a Catronoph.” And they got a glimpse of Nettie Thump. Ananya was so happy to get an overview and walked away.

Now, she was so pleased that she fainted outside the mountain, she woke up half an hour of the magic time later. Poco was nowhere. She screamed out “HELP!! Somebody Help!!”. A blue floating object came in front of her eyes. “Hi, I am The One. I think you know me. Right?” Ananya never in her life of magic sneakers had heard of The One. “OK!! Never mind. You haven’t. I am a Demigod…” The One said. “No way. I know about Demigods. Amazing they are. Reading minds, teleportation, size changing, and so many more.” Ananya interrupted. “You are right” The one spoke out. “So, are we friends?” Ananya asked. “I guess..”

And so they became friends from the moment. As they were walking, Ananya asked, “Did you ever listen to music?” “What is music?” The One asked curiously. “Here, listen!! It’s amazing.” Ananya put some Air pods in the ears of The One and played some Jazz music. And slowly, the night was there. They built a tent and Ananya was about to go to bed. “I want to go back home. Do you know about a way to go back home?” Ananya spoke out, desperately. “I don’t. But I could find one!! It would take time, though.” The One Said. Ananya went to sleep.

It was the next morning. Ananya opened her eyes and saw that The One was heading somewhere. She immediately ran and asked where he is going. The One Replied, “To get someone home”. Ananya was confused. I think he is just searching for my way to go home. Ananya went to explore more of this magical land. And, for some reason, she realised she had something in her pocket. She grabbed it saw. She was full of joy after she saw it. It was her dad’s tracking device. “I am keeping this in the tent.” she giggled. Her heart was trembling, though. She was fearful that she would break it. But, for safety, she kept it under the pillow. She was relieved now.

Ananya started exploring. First, she went to the jungle with which she got attracted. There were some pixies. One said in a pink dress “Hello!! What brings you here?” The pixie asked. Ananya fell and said “DELORES UMBRIDGE!!”. Suddenly, Aurora, from the movie Maleficient arrived “What happened aunty?” Aurora asked. “Wait…. Oh!! Now I get it. It’s the place where Maleficient lives. What was the name? Ashridge, I think.” Now, the black creature came forward and said: “How do you know me?” Maleficient burst out “You have been written about in two books and shown in 2 movies.” Ananya spoke out confidently. “Movies?? What are movies? What do you mean?” Maleficient angrily said.

And as Ananya was about to leave, fearful of a curse, Maleficient put a barrier around Ananya and said “You seemed confident. I am happy that a human can be this sweet. Well, I reward you. You can always realise what is right and what is wrong. You may leave now.” Maleficient said, in a pleasant voice. Ananya felt very happy and returned.

The One had returned. He was waiting for Ananya. He said “I have made a way to return to the human world. You can leave at dawn. I will teleport you there.” As soon as he said that, Poco arrived “Thank god I found you!!” He yelped out. “Ananya, I found this tracker in the pillow. I thought you dropped it.” The One showed it to Ananya. “Oh!! That was in case I get lost I could track the co-ordinates. It’s of no use now, but I need to take it back.” Ananya replied and snatched the tracker. And it was Dusk. It was also the most beautiful sunset ever.

After the night occurred, The One asked: “Anyone want anything for dinner?” Ananya, who was starving at the time ordered, “Can I have one pizza, please?” A plate of it came right on her hands. She started eating like as if its been years since she had food. She finished it in five minutes. Ananya was full. She had enough “I am going to sleep!! Good Night!!” she moaned. And so, she went to sleep. It was the third morning, and she was going home.

And she just could not wait to share this story to Kavya and Sakira, her besties. She woke everyone up and saw that The One was just sitting there, and Ananya asked: “Didn’t you sleep?” The one said “We Demigods never sleep. Even we don’t know why!! It’s a mystery!!” And Ananya became speechless. She had so many questions, but just could not ask them. Then, The One went away. “I know you can read minds, then tell me what are you hiding from me?” The One angrily flies and says: “I do not want to live in the Wonderland. I want to be in the Human World. But, I can’t cross the barrier, I’ll lose my powers.

Suddenly, as he told that, a huge army came over there. It was like Groot, but a female who was leading that army. Then, Poco turned green and huge. Ananya gasped “You’re Hela’s Dog. But, who is that?” Ananya was surprised and curious. It seemed like a familiar face to her. Then, The One said “That is Hela’s sister there. Only you have the power to beat her, but, have not got it yet. Groundhog, secure her. And Ananya, dig deep and scream as loud as you can.”

Ananya went towards the tent herself and tried what The One had told. The war commenced. The One, who was the size of Mt. Everest right now, was squishing at least a thousand people in his foot. And Groundhog was eating the soldiers as if they are Sugar pieces, but, Hela’s sister, Mira, was so powerful, she was already taking out her sword to kill The One. As soon as Ananya saw that, she was fuming. She screamed so loud that radiation energy came out of her body and there was a nuclear explosion. Half of the army died. Only Mira and five soldiers were left. The One killed the remaining soldiers, and Mira went towards Ananya.

Ananya jumped and created a force field around Mira. Then Mira yelled, “You will never beat me!!” “Then, what am I doing right now? Sleeping. And you don’t know my anger.” Ananya threw the force field. Mira landed and ran at full speed. So did Ananya. They crashed at such a massive force that The One got shocked. Ananya tried her best to protect her friends.

And now, this time Mira was about to crush Ananya. But, Ananya was already furious. She got even angrier that the same kind of substance of her Magic was even in her eyes. She spoke the words, “Legends!! Never!! Die!!” And blast such power from her eyes that Mira turned into ashes in seconds. Ananya gasped. “So, this is my power capable of killing her?” The One simply nodded. He was still so shocked by the fact that he got shaken. He was never even touched. And Poco was so scared with Ananya that he somehow made up his mind that he won’t go back. And as soon as it was about to be dusk, Ananya packed her bags. She was ready to go. The One was now happy because there was a way he could go now. He had got a curse by an ancestor of Ananya that he will be powerless if he crosses the Human barrier. He ran to Ananya and asked for a favour. He asked Ananya to put her hand on the ground. And The One touched Ananya’s hand.

Then, The One said, “I will go to the Human World with you.”. “But didn’t you say…” Ananya said. The One interrupted and said: “You revoked the curse” Ananya was perplexed. But, she just went, and realised “What about your form?” Ananya asked, expecting to see some magic. And then The One turned into a boy at least three years older than her. And so, they teleported to the entrance. Ananya walked past the barrier, and so did The One. And they went back to the Human World.

Fortnite is bringing Marvel characters

Wow!! Fortnite Chapter 2 season 4 has released and I did not even know it. Well, I do not play Fortnite, but I sure do watch some videos about it (especially Jelly and only sometimes). But, that is not the only thing. Fortnite is now bringing marvel characters in it. Some I know are:

1. Iron Man (With and without suit both)
2. Black Widow (Was already there)
3. Thor (available in Battle Pass only for now)
4. She-Hulk
5. Storm
6. Mystique
7. Wolverine
8. Doctor Doom
9. Groot
10. Deadpool (Was already there)
11. Captain America (Not Sure)
12. Thanos (Not so sure) (His Gauntlet was previously there)

So, that is that. I am still so confused why our stories have not been posted yet. Like, I mean they should be posted by now. OK, seems like a real heavy business with the website for Deepti Ma’am. But, whatsoever, if she forgot, this might alarm her. So, in case. 

Now back to my movies version me. Alright, so many people are being kind of selfish. OK, this is related to DC and Marvel (not vs). Many of us like one or maybe even 2. So, why do you do this? Why do you criticise the Creators of the movie and the actors? OK, so We all know Epic Games. The let us say they are the company who created Fortnite. They are also the people who created Games of Lego Batman Series. Now, this is fair. Then, why is everyone so unfair? OK, I asked my question and my anger is low now. I think I will be ready with two questions next time. For now, a riddle. And, sorry to interrupt but I could not find out any new thing except the Fortnite thing. OK back on point.

More about my journey to discover myself

Things are getting worse. Now there are 30 cases in my ward. And I am so Panicked. I have no clue what to do these days. I feel lazy (that is a not so seen symptom of the corona), but, let us think positive ok? I do not have Covid-19 here. That’s not what it is. Gosh!! Why do I even speak in that way? Anyways, so, Online class is about to have a vacation and one good thing. Our ICT Conference is postponed. And there is sad news for me. I won’t be the Moderator AKA Dias anymore. It will be someone from the higher grades. Well, that got spoiled. Whatever, and I told you I will bring one or maybe more new things that I discover. Well, I did bring one thing. So, let me share it.

• I am an Ambivert
  • The weirdest thing is I have an imaginary brother. Also, I talk to myself a lot. I can’t feel good without talking to myself at least once a day.

And the thing I was planning to do before but saved for today. A Q/A session. It is in a Quarantine edition. So there are a set of questions I have to answer with reason. I can write as much as I want (no word limits)!!

1. What is the best thing about staying at home?

Ans The best thing is that there won’t be any group works to be done Physically and you can have a way to communicate with your friends. Also, being from the 21 century, we can be more interested in technology learning (except for the fact that we do not get too many online tasks in Nepal)

2. The first friend I would hug after this gets over.

Ans I am not sure as to whom would that be. I am partially introvert so I would say most likely all my friends that include my pal Bigya. We are sorta besties though this Lock-Down has separated us. So, if anyone, my first option would be Bigya.

3. Write about the good things that happened to the world due to the virus.

Ans The only good thing is that nature has got the chance to attract. These days more than the bikes and cars I can hear birds and wind breeze (sometimes) and then I can hear the rain properly, though it is annoying sometimes. 

4. Write the worst thing about the virus.

Ans The worst thing is that the virus can kill people and is seen in children as well as I have heard. And that makes me scared. And what if I get killed by it. Oh my god!! I have started again. OK…. next question!!

5. A new place you would like to travel after the Lockdown is over.

Ans The one place I would visit is Sauraha. And I miss going out you know. Anyways, it has always been a dream to visit Sauhara and stay there for a few days.

I am discovering myself

I have come to know a lot of things about this week. And also, there are more things to share. I think this is going to be a long article for one day. But, let me see if I change my mind on anything.

First, the things I found out. These are not only about myself, but it could be on something else. Alright, let me start:

• I am Zoophobic (fear of all animals)
  • I realized this when my sister was asking me what I am afraid of. And my sister showed me that. Ummmm….. I am quite nervous to tell you about it now. But, I did tell it. And what’s done is done

• I also have Dogophobia (fear of dogs)
  • This term is used by me for a long time. I gave it a random name. And I found out at the same time as my sister said it. I do not know where she gets these kinds of ideas.😖😖

• Logitech device “Slim Folio” can function as a laptop
  • The “Slim Folio” is basically a laptop not because it has an attached keyboard in it, but also because you can search in safari for any google app and you need not have any download. It saves your device space. And that is good. And it can do the app changing if you press CMD + Tab. So many of the features of laptops are there.

OK, that is it, I will try and bring at least one new thing on Saturday. Anyways, so the next thing I am talking about is the Panel Discussion Conference we had today. And to be honest it was the best. The first thing is, about MOE. This means Motion of Entertainment. We learned about that. It basically is doing something fun. Well, nothing more. And our School Secretary is so cool and funny. The reason for that, I would keep confidential. And also, the thing is that to teach us how to raise motions, she uses funny topics. And then the Panel got over with a confession website. I had a lot of fun, and the Grand rehearsal is tomorrow. And I am ready. I guess, bye then!!

Happy Ganesh Chaturthi

 I can’t stop saying this, but I am so excited about the publishing of our stories. Cause, all the stories are so much fun to read. Especially when you imagine things happening. So, I won’t discuss further on that. And also because I already have. So, what I want to discuss is about the things going on in general. But, not about me.

Hey!! First thing’s first, our good old friend had disappeared for a while, but, now it’s back. And guess what. We sisters and brother argue every day and do not get to play having fun. Either one is playing for the sake of playing😂😂!!  There is always an argument. Anyways, for that reason, there is less playing in the house. So, I am bored. And hey!! I wanna wish you all.

Happy Ganesh Chaturthi. And I hope all Indians are aware of the fact that people have made a portrait of Ganesh using paper flowers. WOW!! That is incredible. I am imagining how many shades of colours they might have used. Oh My God!! There mush have been red, blue, black and I do not know what else. And, you know, these days, when I write this diary, I feel like God is supporting me to write about this. But, my mind cant create the lyrics of the diary. But, here I am now, writing this diary. 

And also, I feel like most likely everyone has their exams coming. Arnav’s school is about to start again. Ananya had her exams started, Varsha has her half-yearly coming. Well, so do I ave my half-yearly coming in 1 and a half month if my math is correct or they postpone it. 

Back to the Lock-Down part. I think that they should rather keep no Lock-Down in the area of Suncity. So, here is my theory. First time when they kept lock-down, there was one or three COVID-19 cases in Suncity, and then, when there was no Lock-Down, everything was fine. Now, as they started the Lock-Down again, there are again one case confirmed, and 2 cases in rumour.

Yep, you all heard that right. There are again apparently three more cases in Suncity. And, the programme some of the children were about to conduct, has been postponed. We are thinking wether to do it virtually, but, all people’s availability is important. And what if someone is having networks constructing or even if everyone has a good connection, what should we do, which programme should we do it in? Zoom, or Meet, or maybe Skype.

What if someone does not have the apps. We can’t force them to download an app and create accounts. So, that is what is the most irritating part. So, Physical would be much better. And there would be no lagging. Well, we will get a solution soon. I hope so. Alright, bye for today. And I hope you still remember things to know about my story. If not, scroll down, please!! OK!! Happy Father’s Day

Happy Fathers’ Day to everyone. I am so happy and sad. Happy because my day was so well and sad because I know it will turn into a bad day, I do not know how, but my heart says so. Gosh!! I talk weird. And, today I want to talk about how the meeting of the story was and some things about a dad. 

The call went better than I expected it to be. My story was a hit and I have shared it to be published. But, I want all of you to note down some things about my story:

• It is super long (5 pages of a Google Doc)
• It does not make any sense
• The story has a lot of people from other books and stories
• “The One” character in my story is not the result you will find in a google search (it is more like Dr Manhattan)
• Lastly, Poco is a phone name that I did not be aware of. (I did not steal the name though.)

Anyways, I am so always wanting to talk to the guys A.K.A Sweta, Arnav, Rishab, Varsha, Rashita, Ananya and maybe more but I forgot. I always send a hi. But, unfortunately, we do not have a good time where everyone could meet at once😐. Anyways, and this next project needs collaboration. I am so, let me say irritated, sad, and the emoji above. 

Next up, some things about dads. No matter how much they scold you, how much red their eyes are how long their beard is, inside all of those, he can hide his love for us, his concern as well. And to be a dad, what I have learned is, it does not necessarily have to be a male or has to be young when you are born. Your Grandfather can play the role of a father in your life. Even your uncle, even you paternal uncle. The only thing is, they should care for us. They say teachers are a child’s second parents. Why? Because even teachers care for us and are concerned that we become a good person in life. And that is why we should love our parents. And I wish you all a happy Fathers’ Day. I know, it is not father’s day in other countries I am talking about Nepal. But, that does not mean that you should not celebrate it. Oops!! I forgot to do my homework!! I need to do it. Bye!! How my mother inspires me

My mom inspires today’s topic. So, I won’t put on any further elaboration and talk about it. Imagine, just imagine that tomorrow, you wake up and hear someone saying “Do you know? Corona just vanished midnight or somewhere like that!!” What would be the day’s routine for you?

The first thing I would do is that I would check the calendar and look if it’s April 1^st or not. Because I would probably think first of all that it’s a prank? Second thing, I would check the TV because reporters can’t celebrate April 1^st while in the studio. So, if the reporters say it, the first thing I would do is go to each house or maybe to the people I know and saying congrats.

Then, running back to my house and my balcony, I would look at the normal Kathmandu. People all around talking, and the best of all, no masks. Everyone could feel the fresh air. And now, I would call my friends on Skype and enjoy with them. Mostly my besties. And enjoy for hours. If there are even online classes, I will not join.

Who would waste such a great day in some kind of note-taking? So, I would just bunk the courses for the day. And then, I would head down to play. It’s been such a long time since I played with my friends. I would do that. And, after that playing for what 3-4 hours, I would go back up and now open my Laptop and start at least doing the homework of Google Classroom since I do not want to get scolded by the teacher the next day.

And, I could finish it in an hour cause we only get two works a day (fixed). That would not be much of an effort. And it would not bring any effect on my daily tasks/chores. Anyways, after I complete the work, I’ll go and watch movies. I do not care if I have watched it already. Cause, I occasionally forget about all the movies I watch. And so, I would keep watching. And like that, I would spend my day. How about you? Even you can think!! Maybe I would stop Imagining after that. Well, bye-bye now!!

Why is it so, that whenever you start reading, you feel good. And when it’s about half an hour, you start feeling sleepy. Or, is it only me that feels like this, or is there anyone that agrees with me? And the reading Material could be anything. From a book to All emails in your Gmail or Outlook. I am so confused about this topic. I do not want to research on this though I can. I will if I don’t get an answer soon though. If you could answer, please answer below. I need an answer to my confusion.

Story time is coming, and I am still thinking. Meanwhile, check out the beautiful sunset

There is one week left for presenting our story and I can’t even sort it out. Well, that’s bad luck!! And I’m not joking. I know what I will write about but I do not know how I will write about it. I can also agree on my behalf that it’s lack of concentration. I’ll start working on it today and who knows. Maybe I can get ideas as I keep on writing/typing.

I am a very open person with a lot of things to share. And so here I am. To share. But, the thing is, I’m feeling like what do I even share?

The first thing is first. I am so addicted to ICT in a good way. I look at it, try it. And now, I can even research it. I am so happy that I got a lot of information. But, I can’t say the same information because it sounds complicated. I am currently simplifying it. 

This work is so hard that I think it will take a week because the information consists of 30 pages. And that also, you won’t believe, came from just one website. WOW!! And by now, you might be confused about what I am to about. And, that was what I wanted. The thing is… we are having our ICT conference in a week or if postponed, we will have it in a month. There’s going to be games and a Panel Discussion. After giving, this wonderful news, I have one more. 

So, the task for me, Ananya, Arnav and Varsha, I had forgotten to tell about this (spoiler alert), but, our stories that we will write for our next call will also be posted on one story Avenue. Deepti ma’am said it to us, and now I am passing this message to you. Hope Deepti ma’am’s surprise to her audience didn’t get spoiled…😬😬!! 

Moving on, for the last few days, the sunsets have been so beautiful. And, I have even named one of them. The most beautiful once. I called it “The Horizon Sunset”. Here’s a photo!!!

Happy Friendship Day

Happy August everyone!! I am so happy because the year is going so fast. But, I got a problem. I have absolutely no clue what to write today. So, today I’ll only write what I did in these days and what’s gone, plus, what’s coming up. And I do not know if I will write too much today. 

The week is very good. And a happy belated Friendship day!! I did not write on that day. So, I am writing it today. And now, two special events are coming. Janai Purnima (जनै पुर्णिमा) and Rakshya Bandhan (रक्षा बन्दन). Well, to be brief, the first one is all about wearing a new sacred thread. The second day is rituals done by the sister for the long life of their brothers.

Next thing. I am a really good Software researcher. I found a lot of extensions like Nod, Push to Talk, Meet Grid view, Party button and I do not know what else. But, I do not know if things work. I haven’t tried them yet. Anyways, I’ll move on to the Corona report in Nepal.

Here is a story of Ms. Onenote

I have been so not busy, yet I forget to write this diary. But, luckily, I have my mom AKA my alarm to give me reminders. If it wasn’t for her, I would have forgotten to write my diary today as well. And, these days, education for me is not going so well. But, God always has a way to make us satisfied. Well, God has given me MS Onenote for Windows 10 and MS Excel. Well, let me explain.

MS Onenote so that I can keep notes of what we learn. I am a slow writer but a pretty agile typer. I even keep track of my assignments in it. But, as I said earlier, education became boring. Because now, we can’t use Any apps for doing our tasks. So dull!! Only sometimes, is the time when we can use Google Docs or Sheet or Slides. Otherwise, nothing. Keeping track, Social has become much boring. And so has Science. These two subjects have less defining and discussion and more work. Well, I don’t know what to do. I am so frustrated that sometimes, I even don’t upload in time. I upload at the last moment. But, my Google Classroom is up to date. Except for 1 assignment. Well, I don’t understand what to upload in there!!

And MS Excel for Attendance and some to be noted things. Like, I have the whole class attendance of 3 days till now!! When one person joins, I just note their name. That is how into tech I am. Well, that’s all for my point of classes. I am so waiting for this week to be over so that I can relax.

Vacation is over, and lately I am into Excel

Vacation over here!! I am thinking that the Western side of the world might be so lucky cause they still don’t have online classes. WOW!! I mean, now on, I know that I am going to hate online classes. So, I will talk a little bit about that and also about a book I read this vacation. Without further ado, let me start.

The vacation was really amazing and I realized that no online classes were better. But, now that online classes resume, I have to get used to it. So, I am a really big Roald Dahl nerdy fan. He is my favourite author. But, it got changed this vacation. The new leader is Bruce Coville who won my heart with only 1 book. Here, I will do a book map review.

The book “TROLLED” is about two people Ned Thump (who has a twisted and twirled history) and a boy named Cody who was 1/8^th huldra (magical creature) who literally comes to know about this after a handshake with a Troll. And this story has a lot of characters with a lot of problems and twists in the story. So, I would recommend the book to all of you. Saying this, the book review is over and I move on to the new thing.

It’s been so long since I haven’t given a coronavirus update. Until now, there have been 18,374 confirmed cases with 44 unsuccessful recoveries and 12,947 successful recoveries. However, there are 5,383 active cases. Having the highest number in 1 day is July 11 with a total of 3 deaths. And the highest number of increased cases in a day is July 3 with 740 cases. Nepal, in spite of the number of cases, has opened the lock-down partially. And that is the latest update of the Coronavirus in Nepal.

And these days, I am more into Excel. I can right now do IF formula, COUNTIF formula, Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying, Dividing, Pivot Table, Conditional formatting, and maybe more things but I can’t remember. I have been teaching my sister about these, and I feel happy that someone is enjoying learning from a kid. And, my cousin sister, who is in Nepal, has vacation homework to do using Excel. I am happy I get to teach another person about Excel. I hope this week will be a great week. And Happy Birthday to Dolphy. Anyways, bye and I hope to see you next time!!

What is the moment, person, or place that you want to remember?

It’s been a very much boring day today. But the week has been great. But I will not share anything related to what I am feeling or what I did this week. This time I will write what I have noticed during lock-down and also answer some questions. Well, no delay as always.

This time, Nature has got a second chance to exist. Since most people stay in their homes, flowers get to bloom and the herbs get to grow. Sun city is green again. And I want to thank god for this. I can’t just go and tell people not to step on the grass and all. I can’t just go to each one of them. So, god did this and I am thankful. But, one thing I am wondering about is that if God really made all this Covid-19 happen, why can’t God himself or the Goddess herself just eradicate the virus. I mean, you know. Just remove all the viruses and then also make people forget about the virus. And then, you know, it’s all done!! No problem!! 

And now, I want to have one more session of some random questions today as well.

This place I do not want to remember but I will remember it is Bangkok. It was an amazing place with a lot of things to discover. Who knows when my mind will change on this topic.

I am learning to let go of things that I cannot control, and I feel relieved.

This week has been a very fun week on my behalf!! Plus, our PTM is tomorrow. And lastly, we will have our holidays soon!! To be specific, Shrawan 1^st (July 14). Yep, our holidays are that near!! So, I will share what is going on in my mind these days. Well, let me not make further delay!! 

First, what is going on in my mind because of our PTM that is tomorrow!! Let me start by how the PTM usually goes in Physical. The teachers till grade 5 tell only our good points. Now, since we are in grade 6 i.e Unit 2, the pressure upon us is really very high!!

Because you do not know maybe the teacher will maybe put some anger that is within them about us to our parents and then, you know, our parents get angry at us.

But I know that will possibly not even be thought of. Because the main focus we put on is our marks/grade points of our Exam. The embarrassment comes over there!! So, that is the main cause of my nervousness.

But, as Deepti ma’am once told me that I should let things go which I cannot control!! Well, I am doing that and honestly, it feels a lot better than before. It feels like you are only floating just an inch above the ground by years of meditation. At least I am relieved now. 

Second, from the mistakes I make!! I feel really scared these days more than before after I make a not huge but even a tiny mistake!! Cause I think my dad and mom both, will just scold me and then I start trembling with fear.

And then I speak in not so much, but a low voice which my mom can barely even hear. Then when she ears it I feel that she scolds on the basis of how important the thing which I broke or the thing which I did wrong was!! But that is not reality. She scolds me all the same no matter how precious it was!!

And then when she stops, I feel like “What a relief! Phew!!” And then if she sometimes reads my mind, she might say “If you are thinking like “PHEW”, then please do not hesitate to come near…” And then I am like acting my best to prove I am not feeling like that!! It makes me laugh when I am writing this, but, I feel so sad and relieved when she finishes. So, this might be the first time I might be sharing this kind of feeling. This is for me personally going to be a really enjoyable memory. I am so sure of it. 

And now, I do not need to share how I feel about the vacation because everyone has known it already that we will feel relieved!! But, I will try and share it from a rather funny or maybe an interesting view!! The relieving feeling is different this year. I would rather describe it as a time where people want to say no to the devices and say yes to eye doctors. I feel like literally my eye is not in proper condition. And no one in Nepal would want to visit anywhere. For me, I just wanna sit at my home, and sleep with my mom or maybe even listen to Deepti ma’am’s podcasts. But, I do not want to look at a device. Course books, OK, Copy exercises!, Ok! But the screen, I do not think so! Though I will avoid looking at the screen, I will still be writing this diary!!

And now, we have a new member of the team. Her name is Ananya. And now, I feel like I wanna know her. I mean, it is usual, if there is a new boy/girl in school, you would want to talk to him/her. But, some do not. But for me, being an extrovert would love to meet new people and make friends with them. 

Moment of truth: This is the moment where I say the truth about what I have said in this diary!! So, I might have told no to screen right now on my vacation, I never ever had a fixed mind so I might even use soo much tech at the time, you never know!!

We are excited about the next project about the movie Frozen

Wow!! This week I got a new laptop. So excited!! Like,  I have even done classes in it for 2 days already!! It has been such a great week so far!! No, I mean, really!! I’ll not be sharing about that though. I will be sharing my progress in creative activities and also in my and Arnav’s project for this time. Let’s dive right in!!

I and Arnav have been working on our project and now, it is complete!! We have created a Doc for the Frozen movie meanings. Another Doc to type in each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Like, to do this it took around 2 weeks. I forgot some parts and I even had to watch the Frozen 1 movie again. HAHA!! I recapped it anyways and I typed the Important messages it tried to give!! I mean, it did not take much time!! I finished it in an hour or so!! And, lastly, this time, I and Arnav made 1 decision that I have to create the Girl Superhero presentation in Canva and Arnav will do the same but related to Frozen movies. That is our progress so far in Deepti ma’am’s activities. 

And now, about the other one. Umm… we have completed gathering the group today and now we are working on the task!! The Nepali story writing. And our meeting call is on Saturday. I am completed with my story. Well, almost, a little bit is remaining!! And then I have to help some of my friends in it because they are having some difficulties and I have to help. And that is the progress in the other group. And today, I have a new feeling. And I would want to share it. 

I right now, have the author kind of feeling. How you might ask? Well, not just because of our Creative activities, but also because our writers’ workshop is already underway with the making stories. I am writing about my Bangkok trip. Nepali, not even thought of my story’s content. So, I will be working on it. And, even though I have just reached my 3^rd chapter in my English story, there have been flying comments and suggestions. I am so happy you know!! Like, I do not usually like people suggesting and commenting on things I do. But, this time, I loved it. I was satisfied with myself that I have done a good thing by sharing my story with others. And now, I am thinking of continuing my story after writing my diary today!!

And one thing I wanted to share for today is that I had not looked at Deepti ma’am’s site for at least a week and today when I looked at it I was so confused that how do I see my diary and stuff. And I saw that the whole concept of the website had changed and then it took me 15 minutes to find my diary!! And yes, Riddles are coming in next time!! Do not miss out!! Bye!!

Happy Teacher’s Day

It’s Teacher’s Day tomorrow. As per the Hindu Lunar calendar, it’s “Guru Poornima” – meaning it’s a special full moon day dedicated to Guru (Master or Teacher). So, I decided to talk about Teachers or Guru today. 

I sometimes feel like somehow teachers are the second person closest to us after our parents. Let me narrate a few experiences of either mine or maybe one of my friends’. Firstly, let me start with this incident:

A mantra for multiple problems

I had this teacher in my 5^th grade named Seema miss. And then one day, she was scolding or let me say, explaining to us to answer this question “why do we as teachers, give homework?” And, she was calm in around 15 minutes. I was thinking of “Phew!! This lecture is over!!” And then when the class was over, she went off by saying “God bless you all!!”.

Then, I was wonderstruck!! She never ever told this. And then I thought maybe she wants to bring a better habit. So, I left it. Next time, she did not tell the quote!! And then for weeks, no one heard her say it!! One day, I got so curious that I asked her what she meant that day!!

She smiled and said “Oh!! That!! That was not exactly a blessing or a new habit. It was a quote to god to get their attention to you!! And possibly improve.”. I never forgot this statement. Admiring for that I somehow just forgot it!! I just did!! And once I was Mentally and Physically. And some people were even irritating me at the time. One day when I was imagining, I just remembered Seema miss’s words. I told that guy “Just… God bless you!!”.

That guy even did not mind. And then, after me saying that he literally stopped. And he is still in our school. No time after that have I ever been irritated by him (the name is not to be mentioned). And then, yes, that was the end of the story!! But, you know!!

This is just one of the 500,000,000 miracles maybe a teacher has ever done!! That is what I feel teachers are. I can even ask the stupidest of questions, but the teacher will find it as a gift!! It’s just what my teacher said to me. I do not know this question just came out of my tongue “Miss, how can we find the LCM?”. She looked at me with amazement. She then smiled and answered it to me the next morning!! I end this topic here now!!

And I have gratitude to all who come in our life as a teacher for not just any normal subject, but, maybe something beyond that!! I mean technically, even your mom is your first teacher who teaches us how to walk, talk, etc. And there are so many other teachers yet to come in anyone’s life. So, I would love to conclude here today!! Bye!!

Things are getting busy and exams have started too

Sorry that I did not write my diary yesterday. We got so occupied with my mom startup. She was overwhelmed with her tasks. I tried helping her as much as I could. By the time we completed the tasks, it was too late. 

Next thing -about my views of Kathmandu. Remember I once talked about how I wish I could play with my friends in this good weather. Now, when I look back and read those posts, I wonder at my feelings. I feel these are just simple Memories that make me smile. 

Our exams have started, you know, and till today it is going really smoothly. I always make sure I finish on time. As this is my first ever experience of online tests, it feels great. And today we had two papers -Computer and Social Studies. Answers were to be written in Google Docs and so it was really easy. I am not saying that writing on hard papers used to be tough, but, typing is a lot faster (unless you are a mobile user). I can’t address too many things on this topic, so let me conclude this topic here.

Last but not the least, Rumani’s mom has given us a task to form a team of 4 friends and make creative stuff like type in Nepali and create Nepali stories. The idea is to improve creativity and our Nepali language skills. So, Rumani and I are looking for two more friends to join us. I am excited about this. But, we can work on that only on weekends.

My weekdays are getting busier with online classes (9:00 am to 3:00 pm), then afternoon play in the lawn, some cycling, homework, preparation for Deepti ma’am’s next meeting, etc. Oh!! I almost forgot to tell. We will be having term break after this Exam i.e from Sunday, where we will be given 1 topic to research on.

Wow!! I love research work. I so want this Exam to be over ASAP. Because I am also so tired this term. I want holiday to be honest. And then relax for 5 days. Sleep, do whatever you like for those 5 days, and then continue. Exactly what I needed. A not so long vacation. I wanted to share everything in my mind today. And, you know, I have just emptied all my thoughts. So, I want to conclude here today. See ya guys!!

Know more about me

I had such a good dream last night. It was about me in the Amazon river, jumping to and from insane heights. I got suddenly woke up though. I will elaborate more on this later, and I will also talk about my exam coming nearer. It is 3 days away. And I have still not forgotten about our Riddles!! So now, let me start.

Our exam 

Our virtual exam is only 3-4 days away. And I am literally so much excited about it. Forgetting about real school for now is so much fun. Like, you do not need to keep so many notes. Most of the things we need are already in the classroom. And the best thing is that we can do subjective questions in Google forms and long answer questions (Subjective questions) in Google Docs. Even Nepali. Plus I know how to type Nepali fluently in Google docs now. Well, in Romanized language, I am still tying Nepali traditional keyboard. It is really tough though. Some phrases like क्ष or ज्ञ were a little bit hard in the beginning, but one website helped me thereby showing the composition and all mixtures of the Romanized keyboard. Click here to look at that website. It is very helpful if You want to know the composition of your Nepali keyboard. OK, I’ll shift to the next topic.

My last night’s dream

I had a wonderful dream last night!! It was like a fairytale but it is something that anyone could do with guts. Anyways, my dream was about being in the Amazon river, doing intense tricks, and other things like jumping from unbelievable heights, Jumping as high as Chimpanzees. And it felt like I was floating. And when I woke up, it was the first time I regretted waking up. I was 😌 to 😡 in a second. And hey, I want you to check out this presentation made by me and Arnav which was Captain-Spidey. I am sharing a lot about me today

Hi everyone!! Here I am back with another piece of my diary. Today, I do want to talk about my answers to some questions on which we had a family sharing last weekend. But, I will only be sharing my thoughts on those questions because one of the rules set was – confidentiality. So, yes, I won’t be talking about what others had said. So let me start.

One thing I have never done before but would love to try:

UMM!! I mean, I didn’t have that much clue on what to write when I got this question. Something that I really want to try out feels like nothing because I feel like I have done everything possible for my age. But when I really thought hard – I came up with four things. 

One thing is, I really want to go to outer space cause no one as a child would ever have done that before. But, it can be possible. For quick reference, an ape was the first creature to go to outer space.

Secondly, So I want to go and visit countries of Asia cause I have just visited countries in Asia Bangkok and India really love to go to Canada for France or somewhere like that. If this wish of mine came true, I would be overjoyed. Like Aladin’s genie suddenly appears and I ask this wish. That would be cool!!😀😀!! 

Publishing a book would be incredible for me!! Like, imagine being famous as Roald Dahl at this age for English Novels. Nepali, Nah!! Not really!! I kinda get annoyed because of this subject though it is my national language. 

This thing is actually gonna become true. And that is, Doing Exams Online. It sounds crazy enough already, so I will not elaborate on this one that much. At least I can tell that it will start sometime by June 30 or maybe July 1^st!! I am so excited and nervous. So, I got a lot of studying to do. We have already got the possible questions. 

One thing that might scare others, but doesn’t scare me:

The answer to this question was tough. I could not even know what things I am not scared of. But, I came up with 3 things at last. They are:

The BOO!! You know, the teacher is just walking by and then you suddenly go boo!! And the teacher is like EEKK!! So, that is one.

Another one is Horror movies/stories. Well, I do not watch these movies so much these days, but, I used to watch these when I was around 2 years younger, still, I never got scared.

The last one is talking to strangers and I still do not have an explanation for this. Well, that is all for this question.

Three things about this time of the year:

1. I had gone to Bangkok at this time last year, so it is a special time to remember.
2. It was my aunt’s and uncle’s anniversary recently
3. It is summer so I can have Ice-cream

No one would believe you last year if you said we will learn from devices in 2020. That would sound stupid. But, now it is true. We are studying online.

Okay so those were the questions I pondered on and we had a great family discussion surely to remember forever. I think the session intended to look into our own thoughts and share. Overall, it was a good way to improve interacting skills and I think we can do these kinds of activities by printing them out while we go to our next school camp. Can you help me with creating this new superhero please?

Actually, I don’t even know if what I’m feeling is happiness or nothingness? It feels like I am just floating in mid-air. Well, the only thing I can think of is school. But, I won’t share about that. I am not even going to share about my feelings. I’ll be telling about my feelings later, but for now I will be telling about what I think is going on in between these two things i.e What I have done & what I feel like. Like, the connectors of these 2 phrases. I have been having short time to do things, such as writing this diary (takes 20 minutes), Playing (only 1 hour per day). And that is what makes the lock-down boring, don’t you think?

Plus, stressing is a very common thing for me!! I stress out a lot. Like, a lot!! I sometimes even get sick because of the stress. This time also, I had the same problem because of our news reading competition. I just simply took back this opportunity because of the risk it had given me around 3 times!! Could you imagine? 3!! Like so hard to go through in one’s difficulties. Man, good memory though it is disgusting. Now, with my feelings: (Guess what? I am starting to use Pie charts again. YAY!!)

I mean, really, why would I forget about pie charts!! Come on!! OK!! So I mean, I do not have anything to share. I am left with my last option. I need a favor from any one of you.

So, me and Arnav have been given a task to make one superhero combining Spider-man & Captain-America. We have completed everything, but, we need to decide on the weakness of the hero. WOW- I am sharing the GOOD NEWS – I won the School Election . I want to thank you

Wow, it has been a hot time for me today, though it is so cloudy and windy outside. Could you believe that I am right now just beside a fan so that I won’t feel hot?!! It is crazy, I know. It has been a lousy day for me. I just wanted to sleep the whole day. Funny, but still true!! I and Arnav have Saturday and Sunday meetings on the Go to meeting interview and we prepare for it in hangouts. 

Also, I have good news and a fun fact for you all and a Nepal Coronavirus update. First, I’ll start with a fun fact: My sister participates in a quiz almost every day. And today, it is our turn to conduct it at 8:30 PM in Nepal. Next up is the good news. The good news is that………. I won our school election (For the CR position of my class).

My mate who will be with me supporting me and will be working with me is Samriddhi. For those of you who might not remember, Samriddhi is my classmate whom I have been working with for years. Actually, 4 years to be exact. But, I wanted it to be her for some reason. And being the CR just 1 day ago, our tough journey for this year has just started.

Yes, we are now already assigned a task. It is to create groups for the morning and closing meetings. We have already done so many things and now our first task is almost complete. Lastly, the Coronavirus update of Nepal!! Well, umm, Nepal has reached 5,335 cases, 18 deaths, and 913 recoveries. Did not know about that for a month. And, the craziest thing I am writing today, is that the Government of Nepal has announced to open all places in Nepal where there are low chances for Coronavirus cases. I mean, that is kinda crazy to say, but, this is a fact rather than a fib. Sad to say😢!!!  

Hey, though this day was lousy, I am feeling good right now!! So let me trick you with some riddles for today:

I am happy because of Rumani. I have time to spend quality time with her. And guess what, election is one day away

It has been a wonderful 3 days as there is nothing I am happier than having Rumani come to our place. During this lockdown, I am getting enough time to focus on Rumani. Earlier, she used to come from her hostel for one weekend in more than a month. And apart from that, the rest is all about my school election. Well, let me update on the election first and then move onto Rumani’s topic and some extra things.

As you may know, there is a school election this week and I have stood up as a candidate for Class Representative (of my class, of course!). Because there were no other competitors, I have already been selected for the position. I am happy!! 

I am really excited as the election is one day away. Today, there was a meeting where the candidates (excluding class representatives) had to give a speech on why voters should vote for them. Navya, whom I was supporting among the Unit 1 leaders, gave a pretty good speech. She is not only my junior in school but also our family friend. We are neighbors here in the apartment. Honestly, I was really impressed with the way she delivered her speech – her tone, content, and confidence! She sounded very promising as well!! #GirlPower 

Plus, my classmate Samriddhi is also running for a girl class representative from our class! She is talented and hardworking too, hope she gets elected. If so, I think we can make a pretty good team overall as we have had a lot of experiences together. We are just so familiar with each other. It makes me remind myself of this saying “Teamwork makes the dreamwork”. My next writing may include the results!!!

Finally, we move on to the main topic for today. About Rumani!! For those who are wondering who Rumani is – she is my friend, sister, and best companion during this lockdown. I got to spend most of the time with Rumani this week. She shared with me about her online study problems. Sometimes her network does not work, or maybe she can’t do her assignments due to sign in problems. Can you believe she had around 6 assignments missing because of her technical problems? I felt sad for her and decided to help. Together we could sort that out on my laptop. She had missed so many assignments and I thought I could help her with that and that’s what I was busy with, after school today. We both didn’t even go to play in the ground and we completed 5 out of 6 pending assignments. You know, this whole sounded boring when we started, but, as we went on doing together it felt satisfying and reaching this far, I am feeling like I could help her. It was exciting too because I got to learn MS teams as well. It gives cool and rather funny effects when we turn in assignments. Such as darts, rockets, and many more.

Guess what? I am standing as the Class Representative

We are having an election in our school and I am standing as the CR (Class Representative) of my class in it!! I have had a lot of struggles while being a candidate!! Like, making a team ( I finally have 2 members added in it), reading the roles and responsibilities, and preparing posters. And remember when I told you about the app, Canva? I used it to make a poster!! Let me show them!!

And before I told you that reading the Roles and Responsibilities was tough. That is because the links were not working at all. It did not work for me only, that is my main concern. I even felt like giving up, but, Niroj sir sent me an email written with all information by copy-pasting. I felt like I had got hope back at that moment. I did not give up, and now, I am the only person standing for the position for my class. Feels kinda sad because, you know, it is not really a competition. I have a team now, with 2 of my friends. We prepare posters together. But, since it is the campaign time, there are literally so many E-mails in my inbox related to #voting someone!!

The second thing for today is about a remote-controlled car. It was so old and the battery power was finished. I fixed it by staying there for an hour. It was not working at all. I fixed it by putting a new battery, fixing the remote parts. And now, it is working. It is the model of a Lamborghini so it looks amazing. It was really hard though!! And once, I found out it is not even the correct remote on which I was trying to operate it. Though I fixed it it is not as it used to be!!

I have been so busy lately. I want to write diaries, poems and many other things. Time management is the key.

I  get tired while playing sometimes. Don’t you agree? Especially while playing badminton. I want to play with my cycle more though. So, let me start!!

These days, it is getting even harder to manage time to do things. During this, I even thought that I would lose my habit of writing my diary, plus, my mom scolds me when I come late after playing – let me make it specific – after 7:00 PM (Nepali time).

Well, I have to submit my diary before 7:00 PM to Deepti ma’am. Deep inside me, I feel like “What’s the big deal with that?!! I mean, I still have 2 more hours to write!” I still do not know the answer to that question. 

Next, I have been trying to write some poems. But, I still have not written it down in my copy, though. I just want to look around. And that is what I do when I go to play, actually. I play when it is my turn/time to play. Otherwise, I am just looking at some things. Sitting in the grass maybe, or in a chair.

Well, this time I do have an opportunity to write a good poem on “The Environment”. I mean, it is a good topic, since, “World Environment Day” is coming ahead on June 5^th. I have thought about writing an acrostic poem, since, I feel like they are so good. They are a little tough to make though. 

Well, moving on to the next topic, do you all remember when I told that there is something even more exciting thing is coming in this blog. Well, sorry but, I was incorrect about that. But, the surprise is over. I am revealing it.

I and Arnav are combining and making a duo presentation of a product and we were given two questions:

1. Pick your favorite superhero (male or female) and describe why you like him or her. 
2. Do you think that the Thanos principle is right or wrong? Give your reasons.

Of course!! I will tell my answers in short for now. My answer for “ 1.” was:

Captain America

He is cool, smart, and always on the right side.

And, my answer for “ 2.” was:

This is going to blow your mind but for me the Thanos principle was correct. I will explain that next time. 

Next time, Deepti ma’am has told me and Arnav to watch Star Wars because the next meeting will be based on questions of Star Wars. And, we both have never watched it. I am excited about the next meeting though!! 

And, how can I forget last times riddle? The answer for last times riddle was “The milky way” I had found this one while researching for riddles. 

Cool thing!! I knew that my friend lived near suncity, and I shouted at him “Rizwan!!!!” he did not come, but his mom did. That freaked me out so much. He had been seen once being beaten by his mom in front of the camera during an online class. Everyone was so scared of her since then. I ran away as quickly as I could. It was a close call. I have not shared this with anyone, so, this is my first time. 

And, I even feel awkward these days because, before I used to feel that people should not go out like that in the open. And now, it is me who goes all by myself. I have grown two small plants at home. One needs only watery places to grow and the other needs soil, water, air, sunlight. The only difference is that one needs to be grown in water and one is in soil. Here are their pictures.

I am discovering myself in this lockdown. I realized i am more of a fitness person. Who would have thought? 🙂

Do you know what I am finding more and more about myself during this lock-down? That I’m more of a sporty person and a fitness person than I thought. Baba wakes me up at 6:00 AM and I go cycling. Well, at least I am getting more active!! That is an advantage!! Most of my friends come at 6:15 AM if they do not have online classes. Like, some of their classes start very early. And I was surprised!! How does Rumani’s school start the online class at 7:00 AM!!! Like how the heck do they suppose all students can be ready by that time?! Thank God!! My classes start only after 9:00 AM. 

And, Yesterday we watched this really emotional movie (which made me cry) named “Hachi” which was about a dog. And, this movie is based on a real-life incident that happened somewhere in the 19s in Japan. It so happened that a man found a dog at the train station and took it home. And the had a lot of memories together. If you want to know what happens next, you can watch it on Netflix too. Or, if you do not have a Netflix account, maybe try searching it on YouTube. I checked it, and it is there, so no problem. And fun fact!! I have cried in not many movies. If I can remember, maybe only 3 movies. And, this movie was the 4^th one. Well, I will end this topic now.

And happy Mother’s Day in Nicaragua and I am shouting out for Galapagos Island in advance!!!!  

And I am getting busier these days!! Mom is always working!! Even my eldest Didi. My Didi, that is elder than me but the smallest among my three sisters is always having online classes or doing her assignments. Other people in my family do not want to play. And I have bad news!! I have an injury near my ankle of the right foot!!

I realized where I was wrong recently. I was just not being myself. Today I have decided to come back to #theoldme

Hey!! I am back with full energy and now, I am ready to continue my Diary!! 

You know!! It was a tough time getting back the real me #TheOldMe!! It was difficult and felt clueless!! And then I thought to write in my old style!! Because this technology changes the mood!! But, to write in my old style, I needed to know the old me!! Now, for that, I checked out my old writings. And now let me start!!

My Father woke me up very early at 6:00 AM. For a minute, I was feeling like “Dad, come on!! Let me sleep!! Then, he reminded me that my cycle is fixed and I could ride it. Listen!! I know what you are thinking!! Shivan, but there is a lock-down in Nepal right now!! Well then, there is nothing that I love more than cycling!! If it is my village!! I feel like riding it all around Nepal. And cycling is the greatest ever sport for me!! Because the road is so pitched and perfect, clean, and what else can you say!! Just, the road is very much safe to ride your bicycle!! 

Have you ever had bleeding in the nose? Do you know that the nose bleeding that happens to you is a kind of disease? Let me make you clear!! That problem is called as “Epistaxis”!! It can occur due to:

1. Extreme hot or dry cold temperature
2. Picking of the nose (Ew!!  Even kids do not do that these days!!)
3. Change of altitude (Be careful if you are climbing to Mt. Everest base camp!!)
4. A hard hit on the nose (That can happen anytime to me!!)

And did I ever mention my plan to go to play Badminton with Rumani in the morning!! If I did not, here you are!! This was a plan of two weeks ago, but, because of the rain, we had to cancel it since Suncity had one new case. Well, at least that plan got fulfilled today. We did it!!

And Happy Mothers Day to all since it is Mother’s day in Bolivia and Happy belated Mother’s day to Poland!! And happy 95^th Birthday to Adelina Gutierrez Alonso!! We are planning for a surprise for you guys. I am excited.

My sister has started teaching me Science now!! And by the way, sorry that I did not write my diary yesterday. It’s a long story, but long story short, there was a fire near suncity yesterday and the lights went out yesterday. 

And the deaths are increasing in Nepal very slowly. You can’t be here reading this diary to know like there are 682 cases, and then could you even imagine that there are 4 deaths and only 112 recoveries!! I mean, the doctors are trying their best.

And there is a surprise coming very soon!! Like in a week!! Or maybe so. Something you might have never thought would happen!! Stay tuned!!

It’s so sad to know about the flight that crashed in Pakistan. Things were just getting normal.

Ok!! It is going to be tough to summarize the whole weekend at once!! Anyways, sorry that I could not write for the weekdays!! It was because Deepti ma’am’s computer crashed. I am sorry for her, but, she fixed the situation.

 So, this week, we have started a new topic for computer classes, which is (Drum roll) “Google sheets”. My mom had already taught me how to enter formulas and other stuff, so not much of a problem for me. But, I also learned some new things such as:

1. The place where you can select the whole sheet also has a thick layer which is the freeze cell line. Drag it and it will freeze the cells either on the column or row. 
2. When you have pree-knowledge, it is beneficial for you.

Next, movies!! I just don’t know why I love to watch movies so much, but I do. I watched the movies “Cars 3” and “Ralph Breaks the Internet”. And now, let me move out of that topic. Also because though mom loves watching movies, she does not like talking about them. 

And this week, for the first time, a plane flew right over Suncity. It is not !the usual route of airplanes. Also, I felt very sad to know about the crashed plane that had flown from Lahore. It crashed in a residential area. It is said that 2 people survived and 97 died.

We played some new games and had a lot of fun this weekend. And we are still aware of the coronavirus as it is increasing. But, people roam like bats in the evening and that makes me so mad. So, bye for today!!

Binge movie watching. Can you believe I watched theee movies today?

I watched three movies today. 1 DC movie, and 2 Marvel movies. If I list them out, they are:

1. Lego DC Superheroes: The Flash
2. Captain America: Civil war
3. Avengers: Endgame

And I am so unhappy to say that there are 2 deaths of the coronavirus in Nepal. It all started yesterday. There has been a total of 292 cases. Now that is scary. Like, some days ago, there had been 83 cases in only 1 day. Now, that was so quick. It felt like that day was a blink of an eye.

I am not so busy today!! It’s Saturday!! A least there is a holiday even tomorrow!! Woohoo!! And today, I was on my desktop the whole day creating my own home in “Homestyler.com”. Just tell your email address and make up a password!! And, it is free!!

Do not forget to listen to my speech titled “My Wonder World”

OK!! My speech went well, but I was not in the stream. I went with the ideas given by Deepti ma’am. I followed what she said, and unlike last time, my speech was properly structured. And the title of my speech was “My Wonder World”. I told a poem in the beginning!! And two quotes in the ending. It tells about “humanity overall” just read and find out.

And as I was writing this, there are now 258 cases in Nepal. And only 36 recoveries. I am still hoping for the best!! Bye and good night!!

There are so many cases and it is increasing in large amounts day by day. Ther are now 146 cases in Nepal. Only 35 recoveries till now. Well, I will make this short and sweet today. Today, I learned how to type in Nepali in google docs. I have explained it below

Ok!! What should I share today? Maybe about the Marvel survey, I was talking about some days ago. Or maybe just my thoughts. Well, let me choose the second option. Today was a little bit of a sad day than other days. A little bit less fun. But, it was still amazing!!! And I learned how to type in Nepali in google docs. Just press CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+K. If you have input tools ibn the doc. Well, if you do not, I am sorry I do not know how I got it. 

Next, there are 219 cases and only 35 recoveries. Can you believe it? Like we started from 1 case that also recovered, and now we are here. Like, this is quite a journey. 

Anyways, I think I will finalize the google form and it is almost ready to publish, except that my mother gives it a final check. I will be sending it tomorrow. I have sent it to my mom only until now.

I had to give a short speech on Bhanu Bhakta Acharya, the first Nepali poet to translate the Ramayan from Sanskrit to Nepali.

Hi, and I am back. Today, I have nothing to share, but, I have everything to share. Just kidding!!

But, before I start sharing, I have to tell the bad news that is the corona report. I am sorry, but, the virus hit 57 runs today. Yes, you heard what I said. Now, there are 191 cases in Nepal, we are still trying to get the wicket, but we just can’t. I have started feeling like I will faint at the spot. When I heard that news, I was having my classes. 

And I played with Rumani and my other 3 sisters to refresh myself. We played a new game which I had made. It is called a mini-bowling miniature game. We need 10 color pencils and a small ball that is made up of anything. But, it should not be as hard as a ball that can break the glass. If so, be careful while playing. And just play it as if you are playing bowling.

Next, I actually wanted to share some cartoon logic that makes no sense at all. I do not know if you will understand, but, here are two:

Check our the movie the Flash – it is quite good. And I am creating a survey on Marvel superheroes. Stay tuned

Sorry, I did not write for the whole weekend. I just took a vacation for two days. But now, I’m back. Well, I think you should check out the movie “DC Comics Superheroes: The Flash”. I was watching this movie in the morning and it was so cool. I will finish it someday. Well, there’s that, and secondly, we had our speech competition today and I did the best I could but my mom said that it would have been better if I had organized it well. I will note that down. 

Hey, you know what!! Deepti ma’am gave me an idea that I can make a survey on Marvel Superheroes. I am almost done and will share with you all shortly. I will make a DC one if you are a fan of DC. I am not familiar with DC, so I thought knowing the background would help. And I will ask some of my DC fan friends as well. They might help too. And I am still sticking to the idea of google survey on Buddha and Lock-Down (Part 2). And I might even be making one on something out of the world!!! That secret stays with me for now. Ok, revealing it will make you do background research, so, all I will say is, it will be a quiz.

 Well then, I will jump to the other topic now. 

Please support the world as now Nepal realizes the coronavirus is getting very deadly. I would request you all to stay home. We have reached 121 cases and only 33 recoveries. #StayHome #SaveTheWorld. 

And guess what? My sister is also starting her online classes using Microsoft teams. We had never imagined that we would be using laptop/tab/mobile so much!! That too, with our parents’ permissions.. Wow!!!  Once the things get normal, don’t know how our parents will again react to devices and technologies!! Haha!

Should I do a survey on corona or on Buddha? What do you suggest?

Sorry for being very late today. I am so tired as I am always tired on Fridays. TGIF begins for us but maybe not for you. I guess!! My apologies if I am incorrect on this statement. Nothing much to share today because there were no classes today.

It is a complicated story. The link to class comes and we stay there for an hour and that is why I am tired of doing nothing. The only fun thing we did today is we learned about simulation and also played a game named “Bumper Copter”.

If you search for this text, you will find it. And then we directly had our closing class. And our teacher has decided to vote again to checking who will be the captain of the class. Well, that is some more good news.

I feel like I am going to have a severe backache. It feels so sad to hear my story of today because there is only one class of computers every week and it was today. But, sir did not come!!😥!!  My friends were happier to have a talk about simulation. In a way, it’s alright for me, but I feel comfortable when Roshan sir teaches us. So that is one thing. 

There is a corona update, though. The corona has completed a century with 7 sixers and 3 boundaries and a run rate of 1.00 and with a total of 30 wide calls and wickets of his friends. Please go to world meter for the corona update of the coronavirus in the world or specifically in your country. Except for if you are in 1 of the 25 countries that are not exposed to the virus. I cannot think of anything else than Buddha today.

I have absolutely no clue what to talk about today. I was so busy the whole day. Though we got a mid-day holiday. It was so much fun. And now, there is such a beautiful view of Kathmandu. It is as if paradise has come down to earth. By saying this, I can already remember a comment on this blog written by someone named Shanti. Oh, wait!! Of course, how could I forget? It is the birthday of the Star/Light of Asia i.e Buddha. We celebrate this day especially because he is god to us. He was an example of life and taught us the reason, cause, and purpose of living. So, for the tribute to him, I will be talking about all that I know about Buddha.

Buddha’s birth was in Lumbini, Kapilvastu, Nepal around 2640 years ago. He is also said to have walked 7 steps when he was born. He shocked everyone, even his mother, to see a child who was only born then to do such a thing, was incredible. And as I have heard, he was born somewhere in the middle of a jungle. His name was kept as Siddhartha Gautam (Siddhārtha Gautam).

And before Buddha was born, someone (Could be a priest, the voice of the sky, I forgot the actual person) had warned Buddha’s father, Suddhodhan, the king of Kapilvastu, that his son would not be a ruler like you, but, he would be a great person by being a life teacher to us. His father then wanted him to be a ruler, so, he never let Buddha go out of the castle. His mom had also got a tragic story. She died when buddha was of a young age.

Then he got a stepmother because the father had no other choice. His 1st mother’s name was Maya Devi, by the way. And she used to love Buddha more than anything because it was her dream to have a child and BUudha was her only child. I will talk about his mother’s story after I finish talking about Buddha. 

Buddha grew up in the castle and he had never seen the outside world because it was full of people suffering and the king did not want to show it to him. And also because of someone telling him that he would be a life teacher (Guru). He was very well cared for by his stepmother, who loved him equally as his first mother. Later, he got married to Yashodhara. And one day, he finally stepped out to the outside world. All he saw was suffering. He then got so many questions in his mind about the outside world as he had never seen it before. He then thought to go and find out his answers. He went somewhere in India to a place named Bodhgaya.

He might have stayed there for years. He meditated for some say for weeks like somewhere around 49 days i.e 4 weeks. Who knows how long he meditated. And when he finally woke up, he had all the answers to his questions. He then followed the path of rulers no more. He started the be a general philosopher, mendicant, meditator, spiritual teacher, and religious leader. He taught so many people lessons of life. And that is why this day is so important to us. And he did not die. I believe that he still lives in our hearts. Showing life lessons to us from his meditation and leading us the correct path of life.  

And now, as I promised, about his mother’s back story. She always wanted a child and always looked out of the window, at a family of a bird in a tree outside a window. It always made her happy when she was so sad. And one day in her dream, a white elephant that entered the right side of her stomach. That was the first sign of having a baby. The very next day, she was seen to have a baby. The king became so happy.

The queen also always took herself in nature so that the child in her stomach (Buddha) would be very familiar and like nature. And he did. He was born on a trip in the middle of a jungle. The queen, Maya Devi, returned to the palace as soon as she could. Well, then life was normal, she had a child. She was happy. Until one day, the bird family or a bird of it died. Then, Maya got so upset she got depressed and eventually died. 

And today, on this day, the government of Nepal had announced to light the bulbs or lights of your roof or balcony at 7:00 PM. And we have done so. And I wanted to say, “Happy Buddha Jayanti”. And the information I told might not be so relevant because some of the information is from the internet. Ok then!! Bye!!

I am sharing a poem that I wrote in 2017. Tell me what you think of it.

Hey, remember when I had created a survey on the grade 5 memories of our class? Well, today, I worked a bit more on it and shared it among my friends. Responses are coming in!! However, I will be sharing the results of that only after 22 of my friends have filled the form. Because 3 of them have already left school, so it won’t be 25 responses. And even if we have a new friend, I can’t count him in as he was not there in grade 5. But, before I talk about that, I have to tell you some memories and thoughts. Or I might just not do it. I am also planning to make 1 with a better topic.

And now, when I write this blog every day, it reminds me of publishing my first poem in a newspaper. It was about the sun and it was named keep shining. Here is that poem and if I believe and remember that day, it was somewhere around June of the year 2017. I will share all about how and why I wrote that poem that also being a 3^rd grader:

As far as I remember, we had got homework to create a poem on any one heavenly body. And I had asked my mom on the phone “Mom, what are heavenly bodies?”. She told me that she would come home and help me with that poem. I do not actually remember what I did, but, all I remember is that I had already completed the poem. Mom then read the poem and helped me with the finishing line. Drop me your comments on the poem, I am eager to read here.

Yesterday, small news that I call rather big, was floating through the internet. And when I today woke up, I felt like the news media either made up news at that point or, they just traveled through time like Doctor Strange. You know why? Let me explain. The government had said that there is a relapsed case in Suncity Apartments, whereas, the same news was published by the media yesterday when the case was not even seen. Isn’t that a miracle? Like do they even watch “Avengers”? That is my first question. And if they do, where did they master the mystic arts.  Well, no question, Doctor Strange learned the mystic arts in Kathmandu as well. Maybe Doctor Strange taught some media people how to use the spells of the mystic arts. Right now, I need the card or number of this place. I think they learned the mystic arts and used the time stone. And that is not shocking. The main shocking thing is that they were actually right!! I mean this could be nothing but an insane coincidence.

Lastly, I want to conclude this diary for today with some corona updates. There are 6 new recoveries and that is a good thing. But however, on the dark side where there is nothing but sadness, black, and nothingness, but, only you, There have been 17 more cases which makes a total of 99 cases. Wow, homework, homework, homework – it has increased a lot lately. And guess what – I am a new class leader now!

OK, homework is getting increased these days. They have started increasing the amount of homework daily. Because, till yesterday, our teachers used to give us somewhere around 3 Homeworks. But, today there is 5 homework to be done. And the funny thing is that none of them are to be redone, or they are not even classwork that has to be completed. The homework is:

1. We have to write a reflection on today’s math class. 
2. There are some questions provided in our social classroom and we have to write them down and also remember the features of the Himalayan and the Hilly region of Nepal. 
3. And we have to write about simple machines and types of simple machines with details and explain in science class tomorrow.

Also, I wanted to know if you liked the feelings chart yesterday. If so, I will be updating with these kinds of questions and making surveys, and I will share it in this blog. I will ask some of my family members for ideas and mix up some good ideas given by my family which are relevant in different sections. But man I wish I had known about this earlier. It would have been so easy to share the results of the corona lockdown form. It would have made the work easier. It is much better.  

And the main thing for today is that I was 2 minutes late in math class today and when I come, one of my friends just screamed out “Miss, Shivan has come”. I was astounded!! No one usually cared if I come to class, but, I was focused and that also by the teacher. I thought that I missed the attendance so that is why he warned the teacher. Then I calm down. And then my teacher calls me out and says, “Shivan!! I asked everyone who would be a good leader for the online classes. Almost all took your name. So, from now on, you are the class leader? And Yunik, please talk to your class teacher about it!! And by the way, is that OK for you Shivan?”.

I did not know what to say because I was so confused, well, now my feelings have been changed from that pie. I will update it today. So, I just told “I actually do not know how or why it happened, but all I could understand was that I was assigned as the new class leader. She also mentioned my duties. So now, my duties were to:

1. To note and share the problems and queries from the chatbox.
2. To stay in contact with all the students and know their problems about why they are missing the classes.
3. Since we will be in a classroom, I also have to remind my classmates about the rules if they are not following. But, what I say is that they already know the rules so that will not be a problem.

So now, I have almost completed talking about today’s diary and lockdown news is coming like a campfire in Pokhara. One news is:

We had a counseling class today, and I must admit that I have such a mixed range of emotions. Sharing below. What do you think?

Well, there is such a beautiful sunset today as well. But, I have a new plan. I will not be sharing it daily. I will be collecting the beautiful sunsets from now onwards and make one day all about sunsets I have collected. 

I had shared this diary with my friends and I had also asked them to give me some ideas for the diary if they had any. And, some of them have given me some ideas + I am sure I will include these ideas in the coming days. 

Next, we had our first counseling class today and no one expected it, but, it was so much fun. You know why? OK, let me tell you all this first. Did any of you think that this pandemic will occur and that also will enter your country? No, right? Even I did not think of that and a case was seen in our own community!! 

And well, counseling takes a major role in our brains. It helps us feel good. So, what our teacher said, “Think, and make a shape showing your feelings of this lockdown.” I went deep in my heart and tried to think about it. I will present it to you in a pie as we cannot show in the heart in this Google Doc. Here is what I feel:

Well, I am always a 50/50 person, but, this was nothin’ to think about. You know, I had already done a survey on this and I even filled that form myself 2 times. Anyways, let me share why these emotions.

Very Happy😄 

I know that this is not a good time to be happy because people are dying out there. But, you know, I have been getting many good opportunities and the best opportunity is that I have been writing this diary every day. Our school has started doing online classes. If this lock-down wouldn’t occur, I would not be the Shivan I am today. Maybe I might have been having the same hair, or just one of the class’s best speakers, or I would have lost my inner character that writes and types. So, I am happy with all this.

Sad😔

This is one of the most common emotions in this period. Because, if you wouldn’t be sad, what else would you be? Like, so many people are dying out there and there is no cure for this disease right now, but the doctors/scientists are trying to make one. Even getting the disease is as painful as dying because of it. I wish Lord Vishnu will come as he has always promised to come in times of danger in the “Mahabharat”. I am also feeling sad because he has not come to save us from this pandemic. So that is why I feel sad.

I mean, there is nothing much to do rather than the online classes, so, yes. I am BORED!!

You know, the feeling when you hear that people have recovered or new cases have been seen.

I am emotionless sometimes because it (Life) just does not make sense. Sometimes you have had the happiest day of your life by visiting Pokhara. And then, right after you come back from there, you hear about the virus and realize that you were in a hotel with 3 Chinese people and the fear rises inside you.

Enjoy life today, Yesterday is gone, And Tomorrow might never come. This quote is so true that it made me make the Enjoyed more than it actually was. I think you know, you should be something you usually are not, plus, you never know what you will become in the future. There is another quote saying: You can’t change past (yet), You can’t see the future (yet), so enjoy the present. I have said yet because you might be the one to make the future for other people out there searching for the angel that can change their life. Callbacks might make you think today that those days were just amazing. So, what I do is learn some new stuff like, you know, how I learned about “Infographics”. By the way! Can you believe that my school now has organized a virtual coffee meeting?

Sorry, I am very late to write my diary today. I am really very sorry about it. I was a lot busy with so much homework and I am the weakest person in Nepali though it is my Mother-Tongue. I literally do not even know how to spell a word properly in Nepali+my handwriting is the worst. So, that is why I am late.

I am starting to get a lot more scared than I was before because things are getting even worse in Nepal. Just today, there have been found 10 confirmed cases and 2 relapsed cases(That were seen, recovered, and are again seen). I am trying to divert my mind over it. Writing this diary reminds of these kinds of things because I have to write about my lock-down and the lock-down has occurred because of this Coronavirus. See the linking in there? It just kind of freaks me out when there are more cases.

My mom taught me 1 thing today. Well, it was a cool thing to know about because I have seen those kinds of charts a lot. Anyways, the thing is that my mom taught me about this thing called “Inphography” and I literally loved it. Like, the graphics and the way it is presented is so cool!! I think a lot of us use it. It is just like a web-chart. 

Lastly, I wrote a long definition of the 4 common apps of Google as homework of “computer class”. They are Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Classroom. My mom helped me a lot in this homework and yet it is not complete. I still have to write about Google Classroom.

By the way!! My school had organized a virtual coffee meeting on G-Suite and feedbacks on the online classes. My mom got a little bored in it, “But even if I did get bored the feedbacks were so well” said my mom. I was also there. OK then. Bye for today!! Talk to you all tomorrow!!

WAIT!!! Before you go, I wanted to tell you that 6 more cases have been found in Nepal!! And my family is talking about it right now. It has freaked me out even more because now, there are 75 cases and it is 25 people away from 100/ 1,47,181. Still, it is a lot less than in other countries. Finally, now is the actual Bye for today. Rajanikant once donated his blood, and do you know what happened next? 🙂

Yay!! It’s Saturday!! That is a holiday. And guess what, our school has decided to give us a holiday on Sunday as well. It has been a tiring week and now we can finally take some rest. Well, on the dark side, we have 5-6 Homeworks to do. I started to do it early in the morning and now I am on the final homework which I will finish after writing this diary. But, that homework is pretty long. And by the way, a comment made by my mom finally was visible 1 month later. Mom was also busy watching a Movie/Suspense Serial today. She loves suspense and I do not. Well, I just like to watch Avengers, so I did watch Avengers. By the way, did you know? Rajnikant once donated his blood. The ones who received it, are now called “The Avengers”!! I am just sharing a joke so do not take it too seriously. It is not true as Rajnikant is just an actor. By the way, I finally know how to use the “IF” formula in Excel. It is so cool to learn, you know. Even children can learn the basic ones with their parents during lock-down. That is my suggestion.

You know me!! I never had, have, or will have a fixed routine. I mean, I am not a fixed person. Well, I have learned about the history of the Earth, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Simple Machines till now in our online classes till now. 

By the way, how many of you have heard of the game “I spy with my little eye”? I played it with my 3 sisters today and it was really fun. One of my sisters had to use binoculars to see the spied object. It was a blue bus parked in the scenario but my sister could not see it. 

And remember that time when I told I will show you a photo of myself with a new hairstyle. Well, I will show you that, but before that, I want to show you all how the sunset in Kathmandu looked today: 

Beautiful isn’t it? I am attracted to sunsets so much because of I just like then ray and the blaze of it. It just attracts me to take its photo.

And I want you to go back to the photo of myself like a week ago. Everyone in my house says I have changed so much except for my dad. He just wants to cut my hair and complains about it so much. 

Well, let me give a quick corona update and we will continue. There are 2 new cases in Nepal which makes 59 cases in total. We all are hoping for recoveries soon enough. And today, I’m feeling a little uncomfortable because people are trying to loosen to the rope of the lock-down. They were roaming all-day long. Policemen did not come today to Suncity. I wish they would. I also found out that all the photos I keep in this blog are even going to be on Google. Alright!! All for today!! Bye!!

Do you know there are three kinds of levers?

Hi and welcome back to everyone!! I have known about a new app and it is very cool. I will share it with you later, but first, I will tell you about my classes. Today’s classes were Computer, Science, and Mad club. I will explain to you all about the MAD club in a minute or two. 

In today’s science class, we learned about “Lever” from simple machines. We learned that there are 3 kinds of levers. 1^st class levers, 2^nd class levers, and 3^rd class levers. We have got a question-answer homework today about levers. And as classwork, we had got a quiz on wheel and axle cause we learned about that as well. Firstly, I was rechecking the answers and accidentally submitted. So, I did it again without looking at the score. I mean I technically did not cheat. So, then we also did have some technical problems. 

Next was our computer class. We presented on how to prepare better google slides. But, our actual topic was how to take care of your vehicles. And that was it. Almost everyone got their turns. Then, the computer class was over. 

Last, MAD (Music, Art, and Dance) club. So now you must be clear with what the MAD club is. Well, today we only chose the club we will be in. I have not decided and we still have a week to decide.

And now about the new app. It is called “Quickdraw with google”. Here you have 20 seconds to make a doodle that is said to be made. My mom also shared it with so many people.

A friend’s birthday and I made a card for him.

There is everything OK with our school in online classes, except for one thing. They give too much homework on the screen except for the science teacher. Other teachers only give us homework to be done in google docs or slides or sheets. She gives homework out of the screen like cooking some food or something to do with real life.

So, let me start!! We were a little late for the opening class. But, it was not such a problem. It was not an actual class. It was all about giving feedback about how the classes were. I already had created my own attendance so attendance was not a problem. We had our first P.E class today. It was boring though I like P.E. 

Good news, it was one of my friend’s birthday today. We all wished him and I made a card. I will print it after the vacation AKA Lockdown is over and give it to him.

Quick corona update. There are 57 cases and 16 recoveries. Well, I have one more thing to tell you after lunch. I’ll be right back!!

Today, I get mixed feeling about online classes

Welcome back!! I do not think I even need to say that from now on. I did have a lot of homework, but, I am managing the next 2 hours as busy, so yes, I am spacing time for you all. I saw that this website has changed in some areas such as:

1. Font sizes 
2. Their top articles like from Finding Sandy it has become Bhagavad Gita
3. Also, before in my diary there used to be Day 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc.

I did not find any more changes until now. I will explore it more. I am sure if I explore the website more.

Next, before I felt online classes so much fun and interesting. Now, I feel it a little uncomfortable. Teachers are, I do not know if that feeling comes to me only, but, I feel like they are getting bolder. But, I try to ignore that thing. My favorite subject has been computer so far because we have not had a phonetics class, otherwise, I would not care who our teacher is, but, I would choose Phonetics. 

I am so much of a beginner in excel, but, my mom is an Excel genius and she teaches me 1 formula per day. Now I know how to create an attendance of my class and count the people who are present or absent.

I attended UN webinars today.

Hi all!! I am back with another day in my diary. Today, I participated in two webinars organized by UN Nepal. Children of the UN staff were briefed on coronavirus and there was Q/A session too. I enjoyed the sessions. I also asked a question in which I had confusion.

By the way, I started this new book by Roald Dahl: Boy. I found out that it was all about his childhood. I am very eager to read it and I will read it at bedtime.

The first class of today was Math class. We learned how to create expressions in math class (Google Docs).  It was fun and very new to me to insert mathematical symbols in a Google doc. That is all for Math class. We also learned how to count the words in your document.

 Next, it was supposed to be an English class, but, since English ma’am was absent, the Nepali class took over. We did nothing and just discussed what we will do tomorrow.

The third was Science, and we learned about simple machines in it. We watched a video on Simple machines viz. a wheel, Pulley, Inclined plane, etc. We wrote the Importance of simple machines.

Next, we have a lot of homework, so, I will be busy after writing this diary. I also have to teach my sister the basics about Google slides, and Mentimeter. Bye!! See you all tomorrow!!

Did you know? If you search Thanos on google, you will see a gauntlet on the screen. If you click on that gauntlet, half of the searches will disappear and websites as well. Just a cool fact I thought you could use. 

Math problem no. 3

I will share the answer tomorrow. Sorry, but I will not be sharing my favorites today+ I felt really sad when you did not share your opinions. But, the past is past. Please share your opinions if you have any.

And now let me start my day. I woke up very early as I had not 3 but 4 classes today. One was out of the curriculum. It was a free trial of coding classes and I have enrolled myself in Khan Academy. It is cool and I have liked it but I do not think I like it more than The white hat jr till now. I also do not have an amazing typing speed. I need to work on that before I work on I start coding classes.

Because I have to attend online classes run by my school. I also take like 2 hours to write this diary in word so it is a little challenging. I did cope up a little in that, but, my typing is far slower than my mom’s. I want to catch up with her and that is when I will be ready. Also, I have to check out more of those and then select.

Well, I created this small color changing app named “Color Changer”. In this app, you have to click on the “change color” button and the background color of the screen will change. I hope you like it. I also learned how to create simple shapes with code-writing. I created a small square-headed person.

My classes were as usual and we had a very interesting quiz in maths class. It was so tricky and they looked so obvious but they were not so obvious. My favorite question from that quiz was:

Well, I told you that we had a Phonetics class today, but, our teacher was absent so we had a “Sanskrit” class instead. Well, it was fun though it was a taken class, it was better than staying just like that for the next 2 hours. Lastly, we had a “Nepali” class. We learned how to recite a new poem named “Guru”. Nothing else. I am so confused that how will they teach P.E. Well, nothing more now. I have written too much today.

I have a question about Rajanikant for you 🙂

Hi everyone!! I am back with another day of my diary. Well, today I have to continue my introduction. I also do have to tell you all my favourite things. By the way, I never thought of this, but, you can comment in this article what I can write so that I won’t be out on ideas.

Actually, I will be continuing this diary even after lock-down as Deepti ma’am has told me. But, after lock-down, I can not be free the whole time. I will summarise the past 2 or 3 days according to how much homework. Anyways, let’s start today’s diary.

I have eaten a lot today and I still feel hungry right now. I have eaten Noodles, Roti and Honey, Dry fruits, Bananas (3 times), and other literally uncountable amounts of food. The latest and the funniest thing I found out about is Rajanikant jokes. The funniest one for me was:

Once, Rajinikant got 150 questions in his exam saying “Solve any 100 questions”. He solved all 150 saying “Check any 100 questions” !! Savage!! 😂😂!! 

Wait, do you guys like phonetics classes? I do and guess what, we got added to phonetics classes!! Yay!!! We can finally continue learning phonetics now. 

Second, my uncle added me to some kind of coding classes. I have absolutely no clue about it and I will check it after today’s diary. 

Next, my favourites as I promised. This is going to be a heck of a long paragraph. 

My favourite colour is “Green” because it is the colour of nature. My favourite food is Pizza and all vegetables. My favourite song is “Memories” by Maroon 5.  My favourite author is Roald Dahl. I just love his stories as I have told it in this diary very long ago and I still remember. My favourite movie is the Avengers: Endgame. I think I will share more tomorrow.

It’s Corona Time!!

Breaking news!!! The coronavirus has reached a half-century in Nepal with a total of 51 active cases, 12 recoveries, 0 deaths and 1 pending case.

And while I was typing this diary today, someone mysterious came to the document I was writing on and just spectating. I can not remember his name. Please comment if you are that person because I got freaked out. I always change the advanced settings that can be accessed by anyone that has the link. Maybe it is because of that and please tell me your name cause that could have been the best April Fool’s day prank in history.

I will be waiting for that person to do it again.

Today I learned to play Om Jaya Jagdish Hare on piano. Maybe one day I will share my music with you one day.

Has anyone seen “ like a boss compilation videos”? They are so cool!! I did not have any classes today, so, I thought of watching it because it seemed like the most viewed. Also, I turned my profile picture into this:

Well, I did tell you I will share how my mom solved my friend’s problem, but, I think I should keep it private. So, there is that.

Next, I learned how to play “Om Jaya Jagdish Hare” on the piano/keyboard. It was a little tough in the beginning, but, I kept on trying and I at least could reach the end of one stanza. I also learned how to play a part in the song “Memories”. 

My sister invented the perfect that matches me and holy buns, it is amazing. I will show it tomorrow because it is about to be dinner time (not lunch or breakfast or snacks). I live on the other side of the world, so, yes.

Wait, have I ever introduced myself? Let me check my previous diaries. No, not properly. Well, let me do it today. Hello everyone!! My name is Shivan Sharma and I live in Suncity Apartments, Kathmandu, Nepal. My mom’s name is Srijana Nepal. My dad’s name is Baburam Nepal. Typical names in a typical country. I am currently 11 years old. I know that this is too little too late to do this, but, a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do. Anyways, back to the introduction. Shall I continue writing my diary after lockdown too? Something to think about. What do you think?

Hi everyone, I am back in my diary and I know that I am a little too late today. Well, let me tell you about today. We only had Nepali and Maths classes today. It was so much amazing to be in our math class for the first time. 

We learned about simple multiplication. Our syllabus has not actually started yet so, we have not learned our syllabus. It will start from coming Monday. I am so excited. I do not have any problem until now, but my friend does. In her mobile, google meet does not work at all. She has tried so much but, we also could not help her. My mom did come up with a solution that can not be shared by me today, maybe I will continue this diary after lock-down. Only then will I tell you about it.

Today is Mother’s Day in Nepal

Happy mother’s day everyone!!! Well, today is a special day for all mothers. In Nepal, we call “Mother’s Day”; “आमा को मुख हेर्ने दिन” which is pronounced as Aama ko mukh herne din. Anyways, I have not got enough time to give my mom any gift. Well, let me tell you about our class today.

We had a discussion on mother’s day today. And we also watched this video named “Green Light” which is about tech cause, of course, science is not complete without technology. So I think you check it out. OK.

By the way, I found out the reason behind the name of Johnny Walker. You can see in Wikipedia. We had our first English class today and it was about imagination.

The last thing, wait, I have not shared the math problem’s result. Anyways, the answer to that question was:

I am sharing several videos. You will love them

Hi all!!! I am back with another day of my diary and all I have to share today is about my classes and classes only. Well, let me start right away!!

We had a Computer and a Science class today. We learned how to create even better google slides with that video in Computer class through a video. Here is that video. You can practice. It did take some attempts for me to do it.

In Science, we have had to watch “Timelapse of Earth”, “Timelapse of the Universe”, “Pandemics of the history” and “School jokes” to freshen.

Why does Johnny Walker always walk in the song? 🙂 Is it because of his name?

Hi everyone!!! I have been having my online classes as you all might know and I am very, very tired today. It is every day except Saturday. Saturday is always a holiday. By the way, we have to use so many apps of google such as:

1. Google classroom
2. Google meet
3. Google slides

We also learned how to use google slides today in computer class. Although I am already a PowerPoint bug, I loved the concept of Google slides.

We did not just use google slides but we also used google sheets to do our attendance. We use docs to do other writing assignments. We have not used google forms in class but I have used it a couple of times personally.

Well, that is all for “Computer class”. We also had a “Nepali class” so let me talk about it.

Nepali is a tough subject for me, but, online classes made it look like a piece of cake. It was such fun especially to talk to my friends. Oh!  I did not tell you our rules right? Let me tell you about our class rules.

1. Turn off your MIC if you are not asked to.
2. Do not chat in chatbox unnecessarily.
3. Always come to class on time. 
4. Always be ready with a copy, pencil, and eraser. (or pen)
5. Have a fixed place to study

Well, we just had a discussion about “e-pustakalaya”, a book reading page on which we can read books in audio or documents.

Day 19: What is the most hated moment and most feared moment for students? Check it out 🙂

There is a snake that grows 0.5cm per second. It grows till a meter in 200 seconds.

But, this snake dies by touching any part of its body by its mouth. This is the only snake that dies by touching any part of its body by its mouth in the world. This snake can be found in the Nokia mobile game!! Thank you for your attention. Hahahaha 🙂

Now there are altogether 30 coronavirus cases in Nepal (confirmed). Though I do not believe in superstition, I will say that the opposite tongue myth is true. People were so proud of saying that there are no corona cases in province one, well, province one made their wish come true. 

Well, why to talk about such negative things. My mom actually says that she likes the shape of coronavirus because of those little octopus skin type things.

I meant those red things.

 This really is the beginning. My mom said that long ago, but, I had ignored it. Now, her words came true.

By the way, I miss my friends a lot and I try to call them all the time, but they never answer. But, I know I can talk with them in our online classes. It is starting on Monday.

Day 18: Guess what? I now have an official email account too 🙂

Welcome back all!!!! Today I will share with you some interesting games you can play at home (not including mobile). And also, I shall share with you some things on the views from Kathmandu. And some memes I really liked from Fusion Memes. Let’s start.

The one and only game you can play at home are “Paper Ball Cricket” (the bat could be a copy as well). That is one. Another is “Jenga”, “Ludo”, “Chess”, “Dominoes” & that’s it. Funny, isn’t it!!

I also watch movies in star movies HD as it is so amazing. I have watched Wreck-it Ralph, Frozen, Rio, etc. I feel very much refreshed by watching movies. By the way, every day at 1:00 pm (GMT+5:45), they have children movies. And when I was telling that, something more interesting thing happened.

We now have our own school E-mail addresses!! Finally, the school did something reasonable. But, there might be a problem because of this and that is… I might not be able to write this diary every day, but I will try and do my best to write every day. I also checked all the apps like google classroom and I could see two classes, but, there were no assignments to be done. That upset me. It was cool though because I always wanted my own official E-mail. 

Next, Kathmandu looks so different right now. Especially when there is sunlight on the faraway hills. It looks like the light coming from a UFO. Something like this: (From Google)

Day 17: People are moving freely. Do they even care of the virus? And Alexa could not answer to all my questions.

Man, this is cool. I never thought that Epic Games will be so cool. It has a series of lego Batman. 1, 2 & 3. I was always searching for Lego Batman 1 in there and I found it today. I always wanted to complete that game. Anyways, welcome back everyone. I will share with you all I feel all day during this lock-down.

I always wake up as I sleep all night. Now, I have started thinking about a lot and a lot of things after the case in our area. I asked Alexa all my questions and Alexa could not answer at all. Well, that is unlucky for me. I see that there are no policemen outside and that is good. But, the bad news is that people don’t care anymore. They move around freely as if they do not know about the virus. Well, at least it is only in the morning. It is dead silent if we talk about the evening.

And about Epic Games. Please make kids like me enjoy this lock-down by downloading epic games here. I swear it is very much fun.

I also watch this youtube channel. It is of sis vs bro. Well, watch that channel to support them on reaching 12 M subscribers. I had also tried creating my own youtube channel but it did not go well.

I have for the first time got bored by watching a mobile. And before, I used to hate going out. Now, I wish we could even go to the basketball court.

Day 16: It is a scary time in our building because of two people being diagnosed with COVID. My mom and dad were continuously in the call.

Woah, Woah, hold on to your bedsheet for today because now, things are starting to get a little bit scary in Nepal. Believe it or not, we now have 16 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Nepal. I still know that there are a lot more cases in other countries, but, I think and my mom says that this is the beginning of this outbreak. We are only in the first stage. It is all because of the 2 people in Nepal getting the virus in our apartment.

Now I shall share all I have heard about Nepal in this outbreak.

I know this might freak you out, but, one of our relatives came from America. Oh! Thank God that he got diagnosed as a negative. Anyways, the family that was diagnosed positive had traveled back from London. They had not exposed themselves, but, media is so quick these days. We could not even know about the case and the media had already set up news.

My mom and dad have so many calls. Funny thing, dad has 1 I-pad, 1 mobile, and 2 telephones. He had so many calls as if it was the police station (3 haha emojis). He was talking to one person and another one calls. He has had so many calls since then. My mom, she had one person after the other. So, she is fine. You might be thinking if people call from Messenger, WhatsApp, right? Well, she deleted them a week ago, thumbs up!!

And let me continue talking about the case some more. One thing, we are safe till now because the infected family lives in another building. Well, I caught your breath on that one, didn’t I? Haha!! I so want to tell you how my family has been doing after this case, but, I’ll leave it for later.

Now, I woke up with a sound I never woke up from. It felt like water sprinkling. I went out to the balcony to see the mischief-maker. It was surprisingly a person with a big pipe in which something was coming out. I could not say it was water because it was giving a foul smell. Mom said it is chlorine mixed with soluted bleach powder. No wonder it had a foul smell. It was being used to clean the whole area. We had a SWAP check today. At around 2 hours from that, the procedure started. Everyone was tensed and worried and so was I. I had a lot of questions on my mind like.

• What if anyone is seen +ve?
• What if that person is me (My test is yet to be done)?
• What will be the results?
• Am I scared? (Yes)
• What happened to the third person of those infected people?
• What will we do if the food runs out?
• Why is this so stressful?
• What is happening in China, Italy, America?
• Are all these questions be answered by today? IDK!!! The checking started now.

By the way, the family who is infected is in the stage of recovery. That is so good. And one of them was seen negative.

After half an hour, my mom told dad to go and check himself. Positive thing, everyone has been seen negative till now from tower A and others. And that is the latest news till today.

I am the checker of the whole family as I have to check the symptoms in all my family members. I also think that my sister has been so crazy about the news. She does not even care what the media says. Before, I thought that being seen on the television was good, but now, I want to take that back. Anyways, Bye!!!!! Day 15: We heard that two people are diagnosed with COVID in our apartment, and now policemen have surrounded us. It is scary.

Hi all!! I am Shivan as you all already know me, and I am here to share my lock-down diary. I will share with you dangerous news of today which might make you as scared as a bunny looking at a lion. Let me start.

We can not go out of our home to buy snacks or anything now. Policemen have surrounded us from all 4 sides. I will share that with you sometime later, but first I will share with you the result of the last question of my lock-down feelings.

My last question in that form was “ Have you enjoyed this lock-down?” and the options were
Yes
No
Neutral

Here are the summary results:

1st position goes to… “Neutral” with a count of 41. Its percentage is 51.2%. I think that is quite true having the Corona stress and also the fun time we can have with our family. I am a yes though. Yes is 2nd and No is 3rd (you all might know why so I do not have to mention the reason).

Anyways, I and my family are so scared because of two people being diagnosed with the coronavirus in our apartment.

That is so scary and that is why we are surrounded by policemen. Well, I organized a party on the right day. I had nothing to do yesterday, so I filled up a whole sanitizer bottle with perfume (men deodorizer) and spread it all over the house. Well, that was all for today, see you all tomorrow.

Day 14: Happy Nepali New Year! I am sharing my wishes for this year.

Happy New Year everyone!! I am so excited to share about my day today. I will start from the morning. My father woke me up at 6 and I started taking my debit card. I had to buy snacks for our New Year party. I ran downstairs and went to the Q-mart. I bought the needed materials. In like half an hour, we were back. I washed my hands and took a bath. I felt refreshed and a new year was ready to begin.

I had lots of hopes and dreams but they all drowned into the deep sea. I will also share my 4th question’s results. Which should I start with first? I will start with the results first. My 4th question was “What is the first thing you will do after this whole lock-down is over?” Here are the funniest answers.

• I will buy a new kurta for myself.
• Shout.
• I will go and have my favorite food.
• Have tea at Basantapur.
• I will run to my favorite restaurant and eat a lot. I love their breakfast menu.
• Go for a run on the beach.
• Go to the gym and a restaurant.
• Have a party!!!
• Go to meet my father at his house.

And that is all. I do not know which one was the funniest. Anyways, on to the next topic. My Hopes & Dreams for this year. I do not know if these will be fulfilled or not, though. ( This was the idea of my mom)

• Know how to speak properly with elders (Strongly needed to be fulfilled)

• Stop crying unnecessarily (Strongly required)

Anyways, enough of that, I will continue sharing my day. I started making cards for everyone. It was fun and when I finished, I had some time to eat breakfast. I had Roti & Jam for my breakfast. Then everyone woke and I started wishing them a happy new year.

Lunchtime came and went away as well and yet nothing much to do, but, while it was lunch, Rumani came. I told her to wait until I have my lunch. I ate as fast as I could and we played till 2:00 o’clock. We played the same things today as well. I do not know why, but, even if I play all these games all the time, I never get bored playing it. I had played a new game today. I had to flip the bottle on top of the bat. It was so fun to do that.

And then, actually, at 2:00 pm, we started our small party. Mom was working, so we saved some of it for her. When she completed working, I offered her the remaining snacks. I also wished her Happy New Year. She also wished me the same. We then played Theif and Police. That is all we did today. Also, I wish you all a Happy New Year from Nepal.

Day 13: Nepali New Year is approaching and here is a summary of my year

It’s New year’s eve today. A new Nepali year will start tomorrow – 2077! And, I am here with another day of my lockdown diary. I will share with you this year as a summary, but first, I will tell you about today.

Today, I have not done anything, but, mom bought us some juice to celebrate the eve, and tomorrow, it is my turn to do some special shopping. I don’t know what to buy, though. Let me think for some time. Is LAYS okay? Oh, wait!! I have an idea!! I will ask my sisters. I went and asked my sisters and my short list is ready now. I am so excited for the dawn, I just can’t wait. Oh, man!! Time changes in such ways. Before, we could go to the shops nearby anytime. But, now we have to wake up really early to even buy party snacks. The shops are open only from 6:00 am to 8:00 am.

I thought that that is enough and closed the list and I started watching movies. And that is the end.

Anyways, let’s move on. Where was I? Yes, about my year. This year was turning into heaven, but, this idiotic “Coronavirus” ruined everything. There were more good points though. I’ll share it with you all.

Good points

I have had lots of fun this year as I went on my first ever international trip to Bangkok, Thailand. It was so cool to see the economy class, imagine how I would feel in business class. I saw a glimpse of it on the same flight. I felt like I was looking at something quite expensive. Also, another fun thing was from our school programs. There was this event named Educational Expo which was awesome!!! In that program, we could make a game of any subject we want and if that game gets selected, we can stick to that group, and if not, you know what will be the consequences. JK!! We made a math game on Geoboards. Many parents liked it and some did not. Anyways, it was fun to even visit other stalls. It was fun. The last thing, we went to Pokhara at the correct time because just after that, This pandemic. And don’t suppose I am a cool guy. I am not cool.

Bad points

I do not have any bad memories. I have positive thinking, LOL!!!Don’t mind my words there, but, it is true.

P.S. If this Corona was not even a thing, I would have had the best year of my life. ( Till now)

And now I have time to share some more things. First, If you are infected with the coronavirus, there is still time, you can stay home and cure yourself. Your carefulness is the best cure for this disease.

Second, I think I have got my first ever allergy. I do not know what it is, though.

Day 12: Why should I break a streak after going so far? That’s the lesson for everyone

Welcome back, everyone!! I am back with another day with my daily diary. I am not going to share much today, but, let’s start. First, have you heard of this gaming store named Epic Games? It is the creator of the very famous game, Fortnite. I had installed it today. It turned out to be so cool. I could download two games I had always wanted to play. Lego Batman 3 and Lego Batman 2. 

Second, Rumani, my sister came to my home today and I played all day with her. It was so fun.

Thirdly, I have been writing this diary for 11 days straight. It feels so good to do something frequently without rest. Deepti ma’am was telling me to take a break for the weekend, but, I thought why to break a streak after you have gone so far. Let me now detail my day. 

I already told you that I had played all day with my sister. Let me tell you what we played:

1. Lego Batman 3
2. Act & Guess 
3. Catch & Catch
4. Cards

I will tell you which one was the best. The best one was Lego Batman 3 by 50 times than any other game. If you want to play it, please download Epic Games. You can find it way better than Lego Batman 2 or 1. I know that I have written less today, but, I will write more tomorrow as it is New Year’s eve in Nepal.

Day 11: Why would someone worry about the payments during lockdown? That surprised me the most. I have created another quiz. It will be fun. Click here

Hi and hello again everyone. I am back again with another story today. I am in the 3rd day out of the 5 days of my results of the corona diary I had recently made a google form on the lock-down. I am also going to talk about a very funny app and one youtube channel and a new google form and something more. Without further ado, let dive right into it. 

I take a look at my old google form this morning and was surprised to see that there were two more responses by 2 unknown people. It could be anyone, to be honest, it could be anyone. And I wanted to ask you all a question? Do you want more of these in the future? If yes, I have one today. I will share it later on. My question in #3 was “what do you miss most about this lock-down?”

Here is what people think in common. It seems that the most common feedback was… “Friends”. And some of the Comments were so hilarious. See for yourself:

Which one was the funniest for you? My one was I am missing my office and pending payments.😂😂😂!! It was so funny!! I mean, out of all the things, payments?? I am confused. I also filled this form two times and I really would feel like I have missed everything imaginable. I would agree with almost all responses, but, payments are not as important as family, or friends, or people suffering from this virus. I am not saying that it is not at all important in a way, but, not over everything.

Let me switch the topic. This is getting to elaborated. I never thought of this. Was this pandemic the first-ever pandemic/epidemic? If yes, How can you detail about it and make a diary like this? Anyways, look and this picture.

Do you know what are those circles? They are marks of where people are supposed to stand. I do not think that that much space is enough. Do you?

Second, I have created a small quiz on Coronavirus of 10 points. Let me see how much you score. Here we go. I will also share all scores after I reach around 20 responses. Please fill it. I created it because you all liked the previous one so much. 

Lastly, Kathmandu looks so different than before. It is so silent though people are there in the background. I miss the old Kathmandu though. And the police come in our place to keep a close check if people are roaming freely. Here are some pictures.

Day 10: Guess what people do when they are in lockdown. They read, clean, cook and spend time with the mobile phone

Hello, welcome back!! Today, I don’t have anything much to share but, here are my feelings for today. And a little information about how I spent my day! Also about 1 question of my lockdown survey. Let me start with the analysis report. 

78 people have done this survey now.  And my second question was “What do you do through your day?”. Here is what people say.

The options were:

1. Read 
2. Clean
3. Sleep 
4. Cook
5. Virtual Classes 
6. Write
7. Chat 
8. Mobile
9. Other

The first position goes to “Read” with a count of 53 that is 67.9%. I would consider that well because then you won’t feel lonely. It is also fun if you might be thinking that it is boring. I also read and have completed reading 3 books after I started this diary. It also enhances your thinking + reading ability. I am also hoping that everyone else does it as well. I hope so.  

And the task with the second position is “Clean” with a count of  48 and a percentage of 61.5%. It is logical as you are at home and you need to sanitize it, so I am not surprised. Did you click that? Just kidding. I also do the same but, I have not filled the form yet, though. Do I clean though? Yes, I do and I help my sisters as well in it. But, I mostly do it for my own benefit. Hahaha!!

And the third position goes to “Mobile” and “Cook” with an equal count of 46 and a percentage of 59%. It is true because these two things= Happiness these days.

I was shocked for 1 reason though. Before, “Mobile” was far ahead with 29 when there were 32 responses and now, it is down to the third position. I do not use mobiles as I don’t have one, but, I do cook some specific things like Rotis, beans, and tea. I am confident at cooking these days, but, other things cant be handled by me at all.

That is so unfair. So here’s what I want you to do. Go to the temple or church nearby when you go to buy some home necessaries, pray at the door to end this pandemic soon. 

And my second thought. Were Ebola and SARS equally deadly or deadlier? For me, definitely deadlier, because the Coronavirus sounds mild and 80% of cases survive because of their carefulness even after getting the virus. Do you think it is true? Tell me tomorrow or in the comments. Bye!! See you!!

Day 9: Guess how people are feeling about the lockdown! I am sharing my survey results.

Hello, everyone!!! I am so excited today. Let me tell you all about today.

It has been very windy and as I might have heard people say that this is the time of the year where we have to be familiar with strong winds. Let’s move that aside though, and focus on what has to be shared. Of course!! I feel so excited to share my analysis reports of my form which was about lock-down, remember? We have 74 responses!! 

My first question in that form was “ How do you feel during this lock-down?” and my options were:

1. Lonely 
2. Happy
3. Stressed
4. Frightened

I never thought that this would lead, but, “Stressed” is leading with a percentage of 40.5%. I mean, it is logical as so many people are scared and many thoughts might be coming in their mind and stressing them out. If it was me though, I would say “Happy”.

The second position goes to “Happy” . It has a percentage of 31.1%. It is good to enjoy rather than to stress out. It can help us in self-controlling ourselves.

So now, we come to the third position. And the third position goes to “Lonely” with a percentage of 13.5%. It is true because even I had felt lonely sometimes.

After that, I have not even looked at the responses and I do not want to. 

Well, after that it has been a normal day ahead except for me adding a new diary of my sister . This is what she wrote.

” I feel bored but happy also because I can spend time with my mother. I do online courses and gain some knowledge by sitting in a corner of a room. I miss the food from hotels. So, my mother made me homemade pizza, panipuri, and cake. In free time I cook and watch a movie. This is what I did in my Lockdown Time. So, I request you all not to go out of your home. All of you Stay safe and Stay healthy

Day 8: I heard there is a vaccine to cure the virus near New York. Is it true? And almost 49 people filled my survey so far. Yayyy

Hi everyone! I am back with another session of my Corona Diary! I am so excited to share about today! Now, without further delay, let’s start. I also have to share the funny reports of my Google Form that I asked you to fill yesterday.

I have not done anything today but, I have done everything. Let me explain. I have some tasks to do throughout the day, and I haven’t. 😉 🙂

Well, let us start for real now. I woke up quickly to see updates on my google forms. Last night there were 26 responses. I quickly switched on the computer. It takes time to open and at that time, I thought about the times when I told myself that school is the most boring, but now, I really miss those days. And because I wanted to entertain my friends, I made a Google form on our Grade 5 experience this year. It is still not complete.

And I wished that I could go to school and play with all my friends as it is so sunny out in Kathmandu. Life was different before and a lot more fun than these days. I could see people roaming around and enjoying those days. Those times used to be so much fun. But, these days, it is so boring as the streets are empty and no one is there and there is no noise. I wish this pandemic is eradicated soon.

Secondly, I heard one news and it made me overwhelmed. The news was that the medicine/vaccine to the coronavirus is being made somewhere in America, near New York. And, I am hoping that this news is not fake. There was also news that made me sad like 9 confirmed cases in Nepal. In other countries, it might sound so minor, but, for me, it is like too much.

And finally, the computer started working. The numbers had increased by so much!! Wow!! There were 35 responses!! I mean, that is a lot compared to yesterday. I have been waiting for the whole day for more responses and I have now got 49 responses!!! I also read them and let me share some of the funniest ones.

My mom wants to buy a kurta for herself out of anything. And her friends wrote that they work all day. And someone would eat golgappas ( A food made out of Chapati crust with a juice in it). Or someone would go to a cafe. That was it!! 

I also read my book. I stayed there in the balcony for about 45 minutes and am now writing today’s diary.

Day 7: I learned how to make the google survey form. Please fill the survey for me.

I feel so sad today. I do not feel like doing anything these days. I have not done anything today. But, I am hoping for something interesting. Honestly, I am starting to feel as if I am being held in prison rather than being at home. It just feels so alone. I am waiting for this pandemic to be over so I can play and go to school.

Today, I feel like hitting Roberto Nevilis for inventing homework. My mom woke me up with a surprise. She showed me something in online newspapers, and I could see my school in it. It was a task to write about my favorite movie character. I was so excited. Then, my dad came to see what was going on. He told me to do something and commented, not just sit there. That did it! My day was ruined. Dad always do this! In any case, I tried to control it and decided to start a better day, but my mom told me to do my homework. That is why I wanted to hit Roberto Nevilis so hard. I began searching for my homework sheet, but I could not find it. What a way to start my day! 

Now my day started to brighten up as I decided to do something more interesting. I made some masks, and I look like this while wearing them.

I just finished one homework, which means I could do anything I wanted. I went to the balcony to have some fresh air. My mom called me after some time to help her with her work. I asked what it was and she told me to look at the numbers and see if they were equal or not. That was a boring task but, I did it for some time.

Day 6: There was a time when boys used to be so mischievous in the class. And I miss them today

I don’t remember when I woke up this morning, but I remember feeling lazy to freshen up. My mom was standing just there, waiting for me to wake up. She then told me to take a bath. But I felt lazy and did not want to do a thing. But, I did it anyway because I also had to read Chapter 1 of “Shri Sai Satcharitra.” It is about an epidemic in Shirdi, during the times of Sai Baba. It was a little boring, but I had to do it. I can’t upset God, can I? Anyways, I took a shower and read the chapter. I felt refreshed after that. It felt like I can now relax and start doing my regular activities.  

Actually, I like doing karaoke songs, and I did some singing in the karaoke app. I felt a little bit shy doing it in front of my mom and sisters,  mom actually wasn’t much of a problem though. I tried to sing songs such as Memories (Maroon 5), Rockabye (Anne Marrie), etc. The songs were from my favorites. At first, I thought that I was singing well. But, when I heard the recording, I wanted to delete it right away, which I did. Also, because of my loud singing, my sister, from the other room, closed the door.

Well, you see, Sunday is internationally a holiday. But, in Nepal, it is the start of the weekdays, that is a normal working day.  It means that it is a blue Sunday for us. Although, mom’s office gives them a holiday on Sunday for some reason.   

You know, these days I have started missing my friends and all my classroom moments of 5th grade, like Kripesh & Anubhab cracking up a joke in the middle of a class and Bigya throwing up an idiom to Bistrit. It used to be so much fun. I am missing my friends, but not the homework. That reminds me of my vacation(AKA lock-down)homework.

I just started reading my new book. I could only go through two chapters in 15 minutes! The chapters are short, but why did I take so long to read those few pages? Am I distracted? That was a bit strange. But, I did not want to do that. And as I realized I had read the book too slow, lunch was ready. 

And now, what do I do? I thought I would clean my balcony today too because it was still too dirty in the corner. But as soon as I came back to my room, I saw my mom had already started the movie –  Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. I have watched this movie so many times, but, I still find it exciting. When my mom fell asleep as we were watching the movie, I paused it. Finally, I got enough time to clean the balcony without any disturbance.

Yes!!! I quietly slipped out of the room, took a broom, and started sweeping. Sometime later, my sister helped me. By the time we finished cleaning the balcony, it was 5:34 pm. I then went out and reread my book for some time.

Well, and now like every day, I am writing this diary. Tata, see you tomorrow!!

Day 5: What a beautiful day as I was busy cleaning my room and the balcony

My eyes open because of a sudden brightness. I do not see mom anywhere. I hear the sound of the whizzing wind. Swoosh! It passes my room at the speed of light. I feel it is talking to me and whispering to me to have a good day. I feel refreshed as I see the sun.  Let me go and take a bath.

And now, I am about to do the most challenging task of today – go to the temple without being touched by anyone.

Phew! The mission was successful. It felt as if I were a CBI officer that just solved a case. I do this every Saturday, but I had never felt like this before. After I came, I saw something so special. A camera!! My eyes glared at it hard. I felt as if I saw paradise. It was from a friend of mine who was separated from me last year. I clicked a picture and looked at the charge. Grrrrrr!!! Why does it have to run out of battery when I am about to have some fun.

Well, you might remember that I had started reading a new book. I continued reading today, and I felt it more like a diary – like I write and edit my journal as a story. If you don’t mind, I will have my milk now.

OK! So, where was I? Ah!! Yes, the book. Well, let us get out of that topic and talk about something else.

Today, my mom ordered me to clean the windows and glasses of my room. I was so happy to clean my room after a long time. I cleaned, and my sister helped too. Well, you missed out the fun. How I wish my grandfather could see this, but he went outside to buy some house materials. Well, somehow, I made my day more fun and occupied with tasks. I felt so relaxed cleaning. Some outsiders saw me from their balconies as well. We felt ashamed and courageous at the same time. Some people even laughed at us. But, I laughed back. I did not want to upset them.

My sister was gone after cleaning the windows. I still wanted to clean something. Wait!! I had a brilliant idea of cleaning the balcony. What for, you might ask? There is so much pigeon stool over there. Yuck!! That’s disgusting!! Well, not anymore, because I cleaned it.

And now came the time to manage my room. My sister was the one to eat up my room and I was the one to eat up hers. She took all her stuff back to her room but I didn’t bring mine back. Swag!!!! 

After that, my sister called me to watch a movie. We watched a movie named “Stanley ka Dabba”. It was so funny and emotional. It was about a boy going through child labour.

And now let me share why I had cleaned the window. Well, I brought some cushions and lay it on our balcony. I then started to read my book. After what seemed like hours, I stopped reading and went in to have some snacks. I ate roti and mixed some jam in it. Well, I was full after having that much of a heavy snack, I only accepted milk to go in my tummy. 

And now I am writing this every day to share my experience with you all. Zàijiàn. I am not a Chinese, though.

Day 4: Can you believe my teachers praised me today. I have never felt this good.

Today, I have something special to share with you. I was really lonely and I still am. I have no one to play with, no friend. But the day turned out to be fun.

I felt like the world was occupied in my mind.  I started my day by drawing as soon as I woke up. I usually don’t do that. I had my lunch and then went to our balcony to have some fresh air. I started to read a new book named “Rusty and the magical mountain.” The book is about Rusty, a boy who just graduated from the high school. He happens to see a magical mountain that have many mysteries and he decides to climb it. Let us see where the book will take us on this journey next.

After some time, I resumed drawing. I drew cartoon characters such as Spongebob Squarepants, Nobita, Adidas Girl (my nickname for it), Pikachu, and other random drawings. Here are some of them:

After an hour, I gave up drawing and watched the movie, “The Fantastic 4” to relax. I had never thought the movie would be so cool.

Last night, my mom shared the link of this diary with my teacher and then, even the school posted it on our school Facebook page. Wow! I was so happy as my teachers had complimented me in the comments. I had never experienced being praised like this. It felt like something new- something that I had never ever felt in my entire life.

My mom also taught me about google form and how to make a survey on anything in that app. It was cool. Right now, I just watched the sunset and it was one of the most beautiful sunsets. It was as if an orange ball was gliding down the hills and the horizon is ready to send it to the other side.

Wait! I forgot to tell you that I had a dream about the coronavirus suddenly vanishing into thin air and people were celebrating in my neighborhood. I wish this pandemic would be over soon. And I don’t know if this is true or not but, they are saying that the medicine of coronavirus has been invented.

Day 3: I have started to feel lonely. But I read a lot. And I feel like a soldier today

How often have you wondered during this lockdown, “What if the condition stays the same for 5 years?” I think of it at least 20 times a day.

I’m feeling like a soldier today. If this were wartime, we would be in the front-line to battle with the enemies. But, nowadays we are saving the world by staying at home.

Today nothing has happened that is so amazing or interesting to share. April fools day is gone, and I could not prank any of my friend. That’s bad, right?

I just realized I have not brushed my teeth. I’ll do it right now.  Just a minute……

Ah! That feels better. Anyways, let’s get back on topic. Well, at least the sun is shining, and we can see the mountains very clearly. Mom is busy with her work, and I’m the only one in my house who is free. My sisters are busy with their work.

These days, I have started to feel a bit lonely. But there is one thing that helps me believe I am not alone. It is my book. If you agree with me, you’re cool.

I started watching Yeh Meri Family. It is a web series based on summer vacation from the view of a boy like me. It was lunchtime until I completed an episode. I had my lunch, and then I watched the movie “BOSS BABY.” It was absolutely awesome!

My sister came to me to continue her online course and I went to the balcony to read my book. I never thought about time and kept on reading. And when I completed it, a laughter burst through me as if I was a volcano that just erupted.

By the way, who is your favourite author? Which book of his/her is your favourite? Mine is Roald Dahl as author and Matilda as a book. I mean, all authors are famous for their own genres, but Roald Dahl leaves us spellbound with his stories and the way he writes them. If we read something, in the beginning, we read something and when we finish reading, we almost forget what happened in the beginning. That was what happened today. 

And now I am writing this diary as we speak. And also my mom said that I can create my own blog later. I felt like a swan in a pond.

By the way, I can see that the police are so strict and give orientation to people and even capture people who disobey the rules of the government these days.

Day 2: I try not to rage

2076/12/19

You might be thinking that the date is incorrect, you are right but wrong. Let me explain. This is the date of the Nepali calendar. That’s because I live in Nepal. Anyways, my day started off by reading my favorite author’s most famous book named “The BFG.” My house is silent for some reason. And nowadays I’m starting to feel it. But, I try not to rage.

My life is turning average right now. Oh! I just looked at the English calendar and realized today is April 1^st. You know what that means! Yay! Happy April Fool’s Day. I tried to prank one of my friends but I failed.

To be honest, I feel like this is going to be an extended lockdown. It’s just the 9^th day of this lockdown out of 2 weeks. That means it’s been 1 week & 2 days. I don’t even know if more days are going to be added.

I have been practicing some magic tricks, and I am pretty good at it. I also taught my sister some card games.

I have noticed today that a lot of people are roaming around, and the weather is pleasant. Bye for now. See you tomorrow.

Day 1: I feel happy as I can spend more time with family

I was waiting for the middle of March. Not only because of my birthday, but also because it was the start of a new session after the end of the term. And of course, a Nepali New Year. I knew about the Covid-19 virus here and there in news and lately in school too. But I never thought I would be experiencing an epidemic or a pandemic so soon.

On the first day of my vacation, my father read aloud the news about the possible lockdown in Nepal. At that time I thought for a while about it and then asked about the word “LOCKDOWN.”

My dad told nothing about it but my mom did. She told me that it is the closure of all non-essential movement and public cannot roam around freely unless the reason is severe. Then I thought it was going to be as bad as hell. But to be honest, I have been experiencing light of heaven. I never felt so good just staying at home.

Now I will share the good and bad points of this lockdown. I have noticed both the good and bad points in this lockdown. Let’s make a comparison:

Normal days	Lockdown days
People roam around freely.	People don’t roam around freely.
There are lots of noises such as growling airplanes, vrooming cars, etc.	Everything is very silent, and there is no noise at all.
People used to be busy at work and could not spend time with their families.	People are free & can now help each other & have some time with their families.
We could not give time to other fun activities.	We can do so many activities such as virtual classes, cooking

So which do you think is better? Normal or Lockdown? For me it is Lockdown days. Yay! And most importantly, we all are home!

Anyways, let me explain you what activities we can do when we are at home. Some activities you can do while this lockdown are:

1. Make cooking fun
2. Do some exercise
3. Make creative things
4. Read books and stories
5. Have some family time
6. Clean your overall surrounding
7. Interact with people using social media
8. Start a blog
9. Make podcasts

These are some activities you can involve into while at home. I, for my example, am relaxing these days at home and I read books, watch movies, have virtual classes, draw sometimes, etc. I hope that this article gave you some ideas about how we can enjoy our time at home during this lockdown. And if you might be thinking have I enjoyed or not, the answer is I have.
