A web-series named ‘Delhi-Crime’

Recently I watched a web series “Delhi Crime”. It was based on nowadays crimes happening on women. The web series left me in darkness to wonder for the causes of crime. I felt rich people have a different life, luxury comfort we can say an extravagant lifestyle. Due some rich middlemen the money devoted for the development of poor is used, as a result the sum doesn’t reach the correct hands. To experience the same comfort and luxury and free themselves from these daily hardships, poor people try to get those privileges but when their desire is not fulfilled, they try to snatch it from the rich. Hence crime take place.

The web series was based on 2012 Nirbhaya rape and murder case. During the investigation of this case the country witnessed tremendous revolts and protests. The guilty was awarded with death sentence, and three years’ imprisonment for under 18 guilty. And now this year a 19-year-old girl was raped. Even today for the recent case there are protests held, and questions raised for her justice. Such incidents occurring in the country are still alive in heart of every person.

Now the question raises in my mind, so should the girls again follow the old customs of staying in the four walls of house. But such crimes are unpreventable until the thought process of the society is changed, women should be respected and not treated as a property. In the Nirbhaya case the Guilty were given death sentence but still the people committing such crimes do not fear of the punishment. They think that we will live life freely until our death sentence is awarded.

The tribute for all such girls is alive in the hearts.
